3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Have had this from a tallboy can and on draft, both at BD Brum, Aug ’13 and May ’14. Pours clear rich deep ruby, cream head which stays reasonably. Nose of rich bready biscuity malt, darkish caramel, some berry fruit and lots of resinous and citrus hops. Tastes sweet burnt sugar and caramel, big bitterness too, perfect balance really. Lots of citrus and piney aromatics. Medium full body, oily. Great beer, really enjoyable. Super-drinkable considering its strength.

poured a clear garnet with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, pine, and some earthiness with a hint of citrus. Palate was medium bodied, dry and slightly resiny. Flavors of toffee, mild licorice, pine and some earthiness with a lingering, dry, bitter finish.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2014 Fantastic foamy light tan tall head with dark Amber color poured from 16 oz can. Lots of lacing that last forever. Great mouth feel and tons of flavor with very fine finish. Definitely a beer I will have many times again.

Poured from a coupla two tree tall boy cans into the pint glass, nice foam and good red look. Just enough hops to be smooth, and doesn’t taste as strong as it is, but it is. Glad you named it after a brother.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a superb Imperial Red IPA from CO that is right up there with the best strong IPAs in the front range. Stronger than Dale’s Pale Ale and up there with (Titan and Myrcenery, double IPAs). Not as much Hop nose as Myrcenery, but no big deal. This kills Odell’s Double IPA but is a close second to Odell’s Myrcenery Double IPA, Two Strong IPAs I’ve tasted recently from the mile high corridor. Drink one and enjoy!

Beautiful ruby-orange color and a huge head. Smell is toffee with a crisp hops background; overall very subtle. Taste has a strong caramel character with some spicy hop flavor and a ridiculously smooth finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours a hazy reddish orange color with a large off-white head, and the aroma blends loads of caramel and biscuity malts with even more citrus hops. The taste is mildly bitter and mildly sweet, and the aftertaste continues to blend the malty sweetness with the grapefruity hop flavors. The palate has slightly sticky texture, soft carbonation that intensifies in the mouth, and a medium body.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great looking and great smelling beer that, while still packing a punch, does not quite deliver as promised in the mouth. Nicely piney with a mildly fruity sweetness from start to finish.
