COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. Strong spruce hop aroma. Hazy orange color with a medium lasting head. Not that much hop bit to the taste. Slight alcohol comes through in the finish. No bite from the alcohol.

It pours a cloudy brown with a full head. There are aromas of dried fruit, malt caramel. It has a rich feel to it with flavors of dried fruit, caramel, citrus, and a moderate bitter finish. There is also a considerate amount of lacing that it produces.

Pours an amber color with a minimal pine and citrus aroma. Taste is slightly bitter with a small caramel bitterness in the aftertaste. A decent beer for the style, a little hoppier than expected.

Draught. Copper red with large foamy head, crisp malt aroma, hoppy caramel taste, medium carbonation, long hoppy finish, alcohol buzz as an aftereffect on your tongue. As hoppy as a DIPA.

Brassy colored with a luscious, hoppy beige head. Full bodied hop aroma akin to an American Strong Ale. Powerful fruity, juicy, pineapple and floral hoppiness. Strong juicy, punchy hop body with a blend of grapefruit, pineapple, and orange, with a touch of vodka. Alcohol presence amplifies the fruit notes. Strong stuff, but there is a enough balance to hold this together.

Pours a gorgeous reddish color with excellent lacing and decent head retention. Smells malty and bitter. Not much floral aroma, but it is a red after all. Tastes of alcohol and lots of malt. A great beer!

This unique double IPA has an amber hue and white head. Monster aromas of sticky / piney / resiny hops are unforgettable. Seriously overhopped, but the caramel maltiness is what makes this more than just another IPA. One of my absolute favorite IPAs!
