Our “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a dark reddish copper color with a medium tan head. Aroma is medium sweet and quite leafy and hoppy, with notes of toffee, caramel malts, ripe mango, dried fruits, dried leaves, earth, mixed nuts. Taste is sweet with a bitter hoppy finish. Lightly grainy, toffee, candy sugar, ripe apricots, dried berries and leaves, wet soil. Medium to full bodied with creamy texture and lively carbonation. Overall, nice and bold

I poured this beer from a growler and admired its beauty for a moment. Halfway through my pint I thought this is a beer worth reviewing, so I gulped it down so I could assess the beer from square one. Now I just want to enjoy this Imperial buzz. Laces the side of a glass like you're drawing the shades at night, ready for bed. Heavy aroma, boozy, more going on than I care to talk about right now. G'Knight.

dark red 1 finger off-white head. Nose is pretty intense. very pine forward, almost medicine like so intense. taste is also pretty intense. lots of pine, mango, fruit, apple. but it’s all masked by an intense bitterness.

Ah, Gordon. A winter drink for hop heads. Pours dark red amber from the can, good lacing. Smell is grapefruit, pine, dank hops. Taste is sweet, resiny caramel, nicely hopped with a superb thick chewy mouthfeel. The sweetness plus the hops plus the booze soothes the soul--a good one to put you to sleep.

Aka Gordon! From 16oz can to glass. Hazy reddish amber with some muddy tan. Manilla tan head that lasts. Hoppy aroma of citrus, lemon, and grass. Malt notes include some red fruit. Well balanced with sweet toasted red malts, dry citrus grass hops and light fruity yeast to round it out. Thick chewy and thick mouth feel. Its a classic. Long live Gordon!
