COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. Can. Amber with large almond head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, and some resinous hops. Medium body with a nice balance of hop bitterness, caramel notes, and a smooth finish. Alcohol not noticeable at all.

Slightly cloudy amber color. Sips full hoppy and delish. Huge floral hops dominate, but decently balanced by caramel malt sweetness. This is a bold delicious beer. Nothing less than I would expect from this great brewery. Full body through. Hop presence in the finish is quite strong. Haven’t had too many imperial reds...it’s basically a double ipa. Excellent brew.

Beautiful beer with a big head of quality foam. Aroma is full of hops and grapefruit. The taste is good and equal to aroma but it’s a bit much after a while. Great beer and brewery!

21 februari.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours red amber with healthy beige head that sticks around as a film, leaving great lacing. Aroma is hoppy, fruity citrus with apricot and light caramel malts. Danker and earthier now that it’s warming up. Taste is grassy pine up front, sharp like Furious but slightly thin on palate and taste in the middle, quickly redeemed in the finish with a sticky finish and enough malts coming back around to complement the bitterness. Alcohol nowhere to be found. Medium-high carbonation works well. Very nice.
