COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. For all the details behind this tribute follow this link to www.N3978Y.com. G’Mornin’. G’Day. G’Knight.

Imperial red ipa. POurs a copper red amber. Sweet marshmellow caramel aroma, mineral light yeast ester.low hop. Taste is strong, strong dry malt, burnt caramel almost roast like , toast caramel. Has a tart/sweet cherry character to the malt. Woody dry. Creamy. Dry finish. Red ipa is my favorate style not imperial red this is above or average for imperial red. Decent. Lacking aroma for being 20 days old and canned. Kindof on the dry hot alcoholy side.

Pours rusty copper and amber, hazy. Off white head with good lacing. Aroma is resin, pine, carmel with hints of citrus. Sweet with sticky mouth feel. Really great balance of bitterness for me. Beyond the profile of a red ale and speaks of an almost barley wine quality. Carmel and resin back end that finishes nice. Boozy but balamced. One of my personal favorites from Oskar Blues.

Oskar Blues G’Knight has a thick, yellowish, cream-colored head and a murky, rust red appearance, with lots of substantial lacing left behind. The aroma is of somewhat musty, fruity, acidic, hop resin, and the flavor is of the pine resin (hop oil), red grapefruit, acid, sweet white bread, bread crust, and relatively mild bitterness, brought on, probably, by the high alcohol level. Mouthfeel is rather heavy and even gritty, to an extent (an Oskar Blues characteristic, I find). Oskar Blues G’Knight finishes mostly dry and pretty easily drank.

Very strong beer. Very red and overtly hoppy but stronger red than the ipa tastes. Tap

Rockwells on tap. First time on nitro. Still getting into the ratings concept but this is an excellent beer. Nice taste, nice color, beautiful head and lacing. Tastes deceptively of a lower ABV with hops without damaging the palate.

On tap at Boise Brewing. Pours out a nice ruby brown, soft beige head, lots of lacing. Caramelly, nutty, peaty, exceptionally smooth. Elevated IPA plays into whole scenario, accenting aroma, flavor and finish. Nicely done.

Pretty good imperial. Nice aroma but lingers a bit long but to be expected. Worth buying.

Pours a dark red-brown with a huge pillowy, white head. Wild and wooly lacing. Nose is bready at first and then a bouquet of hoppy bliss. Notes of grapefruit pith. Taste is bitter and refreshing. Astringent finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Excellent! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a dark copper with a decent off white head. Mild hop flower aroma. Taste is caramel malt, and a pleasant hoppy, grassiness from the dry hopping.
