Our “Velvet M-80” is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown. Can at home. Pours red with rocky white head. Aroma is heavy pine, resin. Taste is wonderfully unique - caramel notes, sticky, pine character, and bitingly bitter with some back end spiciness. Complex beer - well done.

16oz can pours dark clear amber red with a finger and a half of head. Malt driven but more balance than Deviant Dales with some creamy malt toast caramel mixing with nice fruity citrus, mango, peach notes. Finishes with medium sweetness and bitterness, some lingering citrus and light piney tropical fruit, toast. Good.

pours clear bright medium dark golden orange with a creamy reviving light orange cap, nice lacing. tons of fruity maltiness - wild berries, strawberries, woodsy coconut, citrus and ginger, delicate pine, clean yeast, grapefruit peel and pepper. average to light carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky; almost balanced fruitypiney-citrusy finish. this ale represents the idea of this (sully) style. much enjoyed! big, heady and hefty without being bold and aggressive.

Keg at BD Shepherd’s Bush tap takeover, London. It pours a dark reddish copper color with a medium tan head. Aroma is medium sweet and quite leafy and hoppy, with notes of toffee, caramel malts, ripe mango, dried fruits, dried leaves, earth, mixed nuts. Taste is sweet with a bitter hoppy finish. Lightly grainy, toffee, candy sugar, ripe apricots, dried berries and leaves, wet soil. Medium to full bodied with creamy texture and lively carbonation. Overall, nice and bold

I poured this beer from a growler and admired its beauty for a moment. Halfway through my pint I thought this is a beer worth reviewing, so I gulped it down so I could assess the beer from square one. Now I just want to enjoy this Imperial buzz. Laces the side of a glass like you're drawing the shades at night, ready for bed. Heavy aroma, boozy, more going on than I care to talk about right now. G'Knight.
