Fin øl men garanteret bedre frisk. DiabolikDUB (143), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 25, 2009 Poured from Can into Sniter glass.
Pours a clear medium amber that has some nice glowing edges and has a creamy slightly off-white head slowly dissolves into a nice thin layer around and atop the glass. The aroma has a sticky resinous hop bouquet that is accompanied by some brown sugar but still is dominated by the hops. The flavor is sweet candy up front with some sweet hops and brown sugar. The sweet bitterness lingers for sometime after each drink. Gordon is a light to medium bodied beer with light carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic and it leads you to believe that the flavor would have much of the same, which it doesn’t. A little let down by that but overall it is still a pretty good drink. Nik925 (300), California, USA Jun 21, 2009 This is a great smelling beer. Flavor is more of a battle of sweet vs. bitter instead of coming together. A good beer but if the taste lived up to the aroma it would be amazing. I didn’t know there was such a thing as a IAA, but that description works. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Jun 20, 2009 12oz can. Cloudy orange pour with a medium off-white head. Hoppy aroma with a definite sweet malt presence. Sweet malt flavor up front with a bitter citrus hop finish. Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Jun 17, 2009 On tap at Slices pizza in Escondido. Caramel amber color with a great sticky head. Nose is sweet hoppy and and maple/brown sugar. Taste is the same. Great light flavorful brew. Malty hoppy sweet yummy. beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 14, 2009 Wow this came out of a can?!?! This brewery rocks and I love what they do with stuff from cans. Anyway it pours a dark amber with a small amount of head that does seem to be sticking around very nicely. On the aroma I get hops, malt and slight citrus. A somewhat subdued subtle aroma though. Medium bodied almost full bodied I guess. On the palate I get hops, slight malt and very subtle citrus. Not very much like the double ipas from this area I am used to but still nice. Definitely recommend this one!!! zizzybalubba (335), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA Jun 6, 2009 On tap at Cogan’s in Norfolk. Pours brownish-orange with a thin white head. Piney hop aroma with not much else detectable. Balanced flavor of grassy hops and malt sweetness. Actually a bit too balanced for my tastes but still an excellent DIPA. sallad (110), USA Jun 4, 2009 Rather hazy orange-tan, reddish tones and an inch of thick cream-colored head. Aromas of pine and citrus leap out, light toast, apple and hints of maple with a deeper whiff. Thick malts with touches of light caramel and honey easily stand up to the grapefruit and floral hops at first. Finish is coating and more bitter, with the alcohol and pine apparent. If you’re looking for a 8+% session beer, this might be it!
