Commercial Description:
Gordon is a dry-hopped hybrid strong ale somewhere between a Double IPA and and Imperial Amber Ale (IAA). Once a winter seasonal, Gordon is now a year-round, limited-supply offering.

pours a murky and dark copper with minimal head. Aroma has lots of hop, citrus, and a great sweetness, quite resinous. Flavor is very nice- not as hoppy as expected, but the resin continues, along with malt and caramel. Palate, is great, really nice beer.

Pours opaque amber with minimal head. Aroma is pungent with hops- resinous and citrus ridden. Nice biscuity malt character creeps in there nicely. Flavor is quite moderated, but wholly delicious. While the hop presence strikes through with its resinous vigor, the caramel malt sweetness counteracts with a great presence. Balance and complexity is great. Palate is vinous with nice dry finish.

Poured a transparent, deep copper brown with a thin white head that faded midway down the glass. Aroma was very hoppy, citrus and flowers with strong sugary malt. Flavor was the same, brown sugar and caramel maltiness with lemony, citrus American hops in tow. Slightly bitter, slightly sugary finish. Very drinkable

4-pack of cans from Total Wine. Pours an amber color under a firm off-white head. The lacing is sticky and thick. The aroma is huge with resinous hops. Flavors have a caramel-malt base and an all-around hop presence with subtle notes of oak wood and a pine-cone aftertaste. Medium carbonation and full body. A great IIPA, but incredibly overpriced at over ten bucks a 4-pack.

Pours a nice a medium dark, forming a nice sized off white foamy head. Aroma of citrus hoppage, pine resinal, field grass and water. Flavour full on tasty caramel, hop brine with a smoothness of clean refreshing beer. Excellent DIPA/American Strong Ale from Oscar Blues! Me want more...

That’s one bitter hop aroma. This is a pretty hoppy beer. Flavor is mostly bitter hops as well, but not too heavy in the finish. Doesn’t seem too strong. Certainly tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted this beer. I was expecting hops, but was pleased with the balanced malt addition. This was a very drinkable beer for such high IBU.
