The powerful hop aroma is full of fruit character. Tons of grapefruit and even a little bit of orange. There are some peach and butterscotch undertones as well. This has all the hop flavor without too much of the hop bitterness. A lot of sweet citrus and a hint of pine. The caramel malt is there in the background. Pretty light mouthfeel for the high ABV. A really solid beer. MaltOMeal (652), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2008 can. Pours a clear amber with a tan head. Nose is of pine hops and earthy. Taste is like the smell and is very much like an IPA, not a strong ale. Mouthfeel is sweet and bitter with some alcohol. Juelze (895), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2008 Trade from Ross, thanks man! Pours a dirty amber color with yeast particles floating about and off-white foamy head. Aroma is resinous hops, pine, citrus, caramel and earth. Taste is much the same and in typical ASA style. Alcohol is well hidden and bitterness is well balanced. Decent. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2008 12 oz. can courtesy of Naka. Pours a solid amber with some red hues, foamy, off-white, one finger head that dissipates slowly. Huge hoppy nose, big, dank, grassy and piny. Nice caramel backbone with huge American hope presence, piny and floral, slightly resiny. Bitter is balanced well by malt profile, but still gives it a solid kick. Good lacing and mouth feel. Very nice beer. Right up my hop loving alley. Another great offering from OB. jbuzz (659), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

I didn’t like this much. I can’t even pin down the flavors. When I took the first drink I immediately said “yuck”. esjaygee (1519), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2008 Dark amber with thin off-white head. Strong floral hop aroma. Taste is sweet and sticky with strong burst of hops, mostly floral. First beer I’ve had poured from a can in a long, long time and it didn’t taste like it came from one. mar (1763), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2008 nice deep amber pour with a 1 finger cream head. nice hop scent with a small amount of malts being noticeable. wow, that’s a lot of hops. good thickness and the hops taste like they were put in yesterday. webjedi (249), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2008 Most expensive can of beer I’ve ever drank... but worth it. Extremely hoppy and sticky sweet. Pours, though, with a full creamy head (large bubbles), nice dark color for a strong ale, and comes across more as a malty IPA. A sharp spice does hit the nose, but isn’t quite as present on the palate. Good beer, but not smooth enough for two in a sitting. (Can Pour [how do you rate it below] 4/20/2008)
