Thick orange amber pour with a soapy white head. Smell is pure pine and oranges. Flavor is heavy on the oranges as well, in addition to some nice toffee and very sweet malt in there. Palate is thick and syrupy. Nice beer, drinkable. Madsnp (602), Odense C, Denmark Apr 30, 2008 Updated: Jul 12, 2008Can. Redbrown with a lightbrown lasting head. Aroma is pine, pineapple, caramel sweetness and citrus fruit. Flavour of sweet malt and dry hops in great balance. Big. Red. Sticky. :) lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Apr 28, 2008

Impression: Aroma is overwhelming and richly hoppy. Beautiful yellowy head is bulbous and frothy atop a deep amber, deep red, almost sunburst body. Very clear. Good lacing. Carbonation is visible, threaded, present. Pine scent is thick. Taste does not disappoint. Oily texture and muted dry finish are wonderful. The flavors include the piney, citrusy hops. A syrupy depth, a bit cloying. Well balanced between alcohol, sweetness, hoppiness, and maltiness. More toasted than roasted. What an amazing beer.

faroeviking (6016), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Apr 28, 2008 Can. Pours a red-brownish colour with a big nice steady off-white creamy head. Bit sweet and very hoppy and citrus aroma. Great mouthfeel. The flavour has a mild sweetness with lots of hops, pine, citrus and a very pleasant bitterness. Dry bitter and hoppy long lasting finish. EHSRanders (1121), Randers C, Denmark Apr 27, 2008 Can. Hazy amber colour with medium creamy off-white mostly lasting head. Hoppy aroma. Bitter flavor and finish. Lothore (276), California, USA Apr 26, 2008 A- Pours a sunset orangish red color with a nice, big, off white head.
S- Smells very hoppy with a deep bready malt backbone.
T- Taste is much less hoppy than expected, bready malt character all the way through, fairly mild with a nice hop bitterness at the end.
M- About medium viscosity, carbonation a little on the light side.
D- Not extremely stand out, but such a well balanced DIPA it’s hard not to like it.
