Commercial Description:
Gordon is a dry-hopped hybrid strong ale somewhere between a Double IPA and and Imperial Amber Ale (IAA). On tap at Pub. Nice amber color with white head. Strong hops aroma. First taste malt then hops take over with long finish.

12 oz. Can. Pours a coppery red with a decent sized head and persistent lacing. Aroma is surprisingly strong with lots of pine. The mouthfeel of this beer is pretty solid with an impressive amount of what I guess is 2 row to hold up to the strong hop dosage. The beer also has an undeniably resinous and sticky palate as well. Flavor has some recognizable citrus notes with tastes of orange and grapefruit. Also shows some sweetness from the malt and a subtle bread flavor. The finish is long and somewhat bitter with a touch of alcohol. Personally I think this beer is a bit closer to being an Imperial Red than a 2IPA, but either way, its pretty good.

Aroma a little like ginger root and hops. Small off white head that simmered away with good carbonation. Some citrus notes with a malt mix. Good body and balance with some hop bitterness. Oskar makes some good cheap ass looking beer.

this beer is hoppy but not overwhelmingly so for an imperial. a little extra maltiness lends it a complimentary sweetness that allows it to be very drinkable. weighty sweet and refreshing. they say it was a winter seasonal but i find it to be delicious in the summer as well.

aroma of lite pine and lite malt. small off white head went away quick. Good carbonation, lite amber in color. flavor of lite pine, lite grapefruit, almost tastes like someone put a lemon wedge in the can. very bitter aftertaste. I’m one who likes a balance and this has it. I see a lot of other ratebeerians talking about the hops in this. I don’t like a lot of hops and this stuff is okay with me. I don’t think it’s overly hoppy at all. One thing I do notice is the ABV% It’s in the aroma and in the aftertaste but I don’t mind that.

Thick orange amber pour with a soapy white head. Smell is pure pine and oranges. Flavor is heavy on the oranges as well, in addition to some nice toffee and very sweet malt in there. Palate is thick and syrupy. Nice beer, drinkable.
