Apr. 2007 - Brownish amber pour with solid fluffy head and nice lacing. Aroma is that of strong grapefruit and caramel. The flavor is silky smooth caramel malts with a nice smattering of grapefruit and piney hops. Maltiness is sweet but not overdone, bitterness is mild. An easy drinking IIPA, if there is such a thing. I was digging this more than the DFH 90 min I had the other day, and that is one of my favs.

What an unbelievable f**king beer this is.... One of the hoppiest American Strongs I’ve ever had and it rocks hard!!! You know, it surprises me that I am going to say this but this is what Arrogant Bastard strives to be, in my opinion. Beautiful murky amber pour, pillowy white head... Hoppy ass smell mixed with a sweet malt.... Hoppy as hell and very tasty... Can’t think of a flaw except that its not available here in Tennessee. If it becomes available here, this will be my go to brew.... Incredible....

On tap at Fatheads. Nice hoppy aroma with a nice sweet background. Nice sweet flavor of caramel malt and dark fruit balanced nicely with floral and citrus hops.

Can. Pours reddish brown with a great light tan head that is tight and leaves globs of lacing down the glass. Nose is of caramel, floral grapefruit and resinous hops, alongside sweet malts. Taste is of grapefruit hops and loads of caramel malts. Alcohol is hidden incredibly well as this goes down very smooth. Finish is slightly drying but leaving your lips sticky and sweet. This is a stable for me, just finally got around to rating it! Not overly complex but never lacking in flavor.

Can. Nice hop notes in the aroma. Amber color with a large white head. The flavors is a caramel sweetness with a nice bitter flavor. Dry palate with plenty of hop flavors. Really nice.

From the pour into the trappist super strong grapefruit. The aroma is dominated by so much grapefruit, smells absolutely delicous, literally like you cut into a grapefruit. Some caramel is noticeable. Initial taste begins with that strong grapefruit and caramel sweetness. The dominance really brings this down to a one dimensional beer. Finish is still heavily hopped with great palate duration. Sticky with medium to full body. Good Head retention and some lacing of the glass.

Clear copper color with a frothy head. Great citrusy piney hop aroma. Full bodied and smooth. Good flavor is caramel sweet at first then a nicely bitter hop taste to finish. Very tasty. 13107
