can pour, dark golden/light amber with medium light tan head and large carbonation noted, wonderful floral hop aroma like smelling a pack of hops with a slighter sweet smell, beautifully balanced flavors with big hop flavors nice malt sweetness and almost zero hop bitters, a "hop bittering fakeout" if you will, tastes so good should have flashing lights on it!

12oz can poured into a goblet. Pours a reddish copper brown with a nice white head. Lots of lacing, good carbonation. Aroma is heaven. it’s full of hops and also a great thick caramel malty scent. Taste is mostly floral hops with a light bitter finish. You also get some caramel, and malt but they’re not as pronounced as the smell would leave you to believe. Alcohol is very well hidden. The only thing keeping this beer from being perfect is that it’s not quite as heavy and thick as I was looking for. A little lighter than most double ipas.

12oz can into a pint glass. The pour is deep reddish brown like clay with a thick off-white creamy head that lasts. The aroma is big fresh hops that you could sniff all night and be satisfied. The flavor is malt, caramel, maple syrup, and a touch of bitter leafy hops. The beer has medium-low carbonation with a big creamy body that still goes down nice. The exhale is more hoppy than the actual flavor, which is nice going out.

Lots of hops. MMMmmm hops. THe body is thick and big oily, and the taste follows the nose with tons of pine, not really any floral, and some citrus. But the flavor for me fades on the back end. After the swallow the flavors are gone, not so much linger. I’m glad this is classified as an IIPA now, I think it used to be an American Strong. Very pricey. I really wish the flavor hung around--that bitter burn you get after exhaling after a healthy sip of a hoppy beer isn’t really here at all, and I’m missing it severely.

12 oz can, love the can. Pours a deep amber with a tan foamy head with some lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus, pine and a good amount of caramel malt. The flavor is sweet then slowly fades to a bitterness. The body is the heavier side of medium with a mild carbonation and a somewhat syrupy mouth feel. Overall this is a pretty well balanced IIPA, just a tad on the sweet side.

On tap at the Tasty Weasel in Longmont on 7/16/09. Pours a great orange with a little off white head. Awesome pine and citrus hops aroma with a little vanilla undertones. Very well balanced sweet/bitter double IPA with a long lingering bitter finish.

Pours a robust, sitcky orangish/red. Somewhat fruity nose, but it disappears quickly. Rather sweet at first tastet. Dry-hopped and it shows in the finish. Overall the balance is unbelievable, the flavor powerful and tangy. A true gem and not just because the first time I had it was in the back seat of a car. I’ve had it several times since and it brings it.
