Good aroma of pine and citrus hops. Taste is a well balanced DIPA. Nice sweet piney hop taste with malt in the aftertaste. The texture is creamy/smooth and very easy to drink. For sure it is one of the better DIPA out there. guerinfbfan (53), Elmwood Park, Illinois, USA

Flavor consists of pine, huge hops, and a hint of caramel, with a bitter aftertaste. This is one that I really wanted to try and I am very glad that I did. Awesome that this Impy IPA is in a can. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Probably the best DIPA I have had since Moylander. Deep amber in color with a nice white head. Oozing hop aroma. Hops are mainly citric and biting with an excellent malt bone, very rich, with a hind of dryness. The burn isn’t there like on some. Very nice. Dickinsonbeer (3604), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Can (also on tap at the brickstore pub in Decatur GA.). Freakin awesome DIPA- and a great example of how a canned beer can be every bit as good or better than a bottled beer. Pours a deep ruby amber- clear soft carbonation, and a fluffy off white head and kickass lace. Aroma is citrusy american hops, sweet pungent, sticky, piney, and grapefruit- as it warms a slight hint of alcohol becomes present. Sticky sweet caramel malts, but dominated by nice piney hops with citrus and mango-like hops. A bit of an alcohol kick, and very bitter overall. Fantastic DIPA. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 12 oz can. Dark copper - orangish pour with a sticky khaki colored head that leaves good sticky lacing. Very fresh sprucey aroma with hints of maple syrup. Fruity, juicy flavor with some requisite grapefruity citrusy notes and so much more. Pick up hints of nectarines, apricots, caramel and brown sugar. Extremely thick and creamy mouthfeel. High ABV hidden well in the flavor. Been a while since I gave a rating this high - well deserved. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 12, 2004 After seeing the copper color, I thought there is now way that this is an IIPA but the aroma starts to give it away. Sweet, sticky citrus and pine aroma. Not much of a head, but seeing how thick it pours, it’s not a surprise. This is a complex beer for real. Tastes malt up front but then here comes clove, honey, piney resin, grass and caramel. Not super sweet but pretty damn hoppy. A great take on the style.
