dpjuart (520), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA May 12, 2008 12 oz. can courtesy of Naka. Pours a solid amber with some red hues, foamy, off-white, one finger head that dissipates slowly. Huge hoppy nose, big, dank, grassy and piny. Nice caramel backbone with huge American hope presence, piny and floral, slightly resiny. Bitter is balanced well by malt profile, but still gives it a solid kick. Good lacing and mouth feel. Very nice beer. Right up my hop loving alley. Another great offering from OB.
Snojerk321 (907), San Diego, California, USA Jul 26, 2008 Can from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a mostly clear red with a big frothy off white head, tons of lacing. Big nose of citrus, pine and toasted malt. Flavor was a bit more malty than expected, palate was (like the can says) sticky!! A great brew. pumpmaster (256), Florida, USA Jul 25, 2008 12 ounce can purchased at Total Wine Pembroke Pines, FL for $4.39. Very good. BeerFanDan17 (331), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Jul 21, 2008 Hoppy and tasty. Good strength. Another fine brew from Oskar Blues. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest. Boutip (1725), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 21, 2008 Bottle courtesy of gford217: Poured a deep brown color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrus hops are dominating. Taste is also dominated by those citrusy and bitter Qwest Coast hops with a nice caramel malt profile that is overshadowed by the hops. Full body with some good carbonation and no discernable alcohol behind all those hops. One-dimensional for sure but still very tasty and nonetheless a beer I wouldn’t mind having access on a regular basis. Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England Jul 20, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at the Tom’s awesome Twickenham Brewery tasting. A gorgeous rich amber colour with a thin off white head. Massive cheesy and resinous hops with some lovely fruit. Bitter finish. A little over the top. Straight forward but not amazing.
