12oz can from Samís, Durham. Very attractive pour, right where you want it to be in terms of the style: lustrous pale orange, creamy head, sentiment to let you know itís heavy, Jim. First impression of the nose was relief. Relief that it wasnít more garlicky, as Iíd read in some reviews. Sure, the thought had already been planted and I definitely confess to tasting some, whether by suggestion or not. But the nose ws really pleasantly bitter, with a prominent spiciness to boot. In terms of the taste, this manifested in the form of green onions, as if somebodyíd used this beer in a quick stir-fry. Mostly fresh and raw, in other words, so good marks simply for distinctiveness. But there are so many others that Iíd go for first.

12 oz can from drew. Thanks, man! Pours a hazy golden orange, a bit dulled but still glowing a bit. A moderate creamy offwhite head, laces very well and stays big. Aromas are a combination of citrusy grapefruit and orange, decent bitterness, florals, grass, a touch of gumball, lemon. Maltiness beneath is caramel and toffee, a bit thicker. Initial is medium bodied, decent bitterness with lemon, florals, a touch of pine, the bitterness is not strong enough. Pine and florals, caramel and toffee body with fairly big sweetness, touch of metallic and pine. The nose wins me over, looks nice, but the taste is just off. Warming and a bit boozy, the finish is hot and sweet, decent bitterness. Ok, too malty and not enough bittering. A fairly dissappointing DIPA.

Extremely hoppy! Itís very similar to hopslam, pliny the elder, and a little sumpin extra. Great hoppy flavor, citrus and a floral scent. Lots of flavor. Great beer!

Has a great smooth pour out of the can. I never know what to expect from a beer that comes from a can, but the gubna is just plain good. The aroma is hoppy and a little fruity. The color is goldish with a red tint to it. Itís pretty hoppy but nothing too over the top.

Clear orange, thick foamy white head. Aroma of coconut, pineapple, tropical citrus, herb, sweet. Taste is not as bitter as I thought but is there heavily. Smooth for 10%. Thick texture, soft carbonation.

12 oz can (obviously). The pour on this one is a golden yellow honey color with a moderate white head. The nose is honey, floral, piney hops, caramel malt, and a tiny bit of abv. The taste is dank hops with a citrusy pineapple and lemon zest followed by caramel malt and a nice mellow bitterness. The palate is on the thicker side of IIPAís like Great Divide Hercules. The lacing is minimal but somehow a little sticky. Great IIPA.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
very bitter, medium sweetness, orange, clear, rocky head, white foam, medium body, average carbonation, bitter, astringent, long finish.
I found it to be complex in that there was always a taste or a sensation changing and evolving over the course of time. The strongest plusses on it for me were the appearance and the aroma both of which were solid especially for style. The aroma was like opening a box of hops and being assaulted with diferent scents but still worked harmoniously. The color is everything I want and the head was pillowy with some soft peaks and lasted a moderate amount of time. Not much lacing but seriously I donít care. The taste is hard to pin down. One minute it is great the next something is either clashing or missing. As it warms it grows on you, or it could just be the 10% ABV mule kicking your taste buds into Mellowsville. Overall it is good, is it $16 a 4 pack good? Iím not sure, Iím in Mellowsville.

Can. Clear copper color. Only a medium head with a vigorous pour fades to a dusting of head. Awesome crisp, grassy nose. Pure hops.Sticky sweet hops, like pure hop juice and alcohol. Lots of grass, a little honey, and a very hot, booze-filled finish. A bit more complexity to the flavor profile would help to avoid the dominance of the alcohol, but other than that, this a great one.
