12. z can pours to a rich amber color with a heavy off white head that lingers. Aroma is heavy on the hops with minor citrus notes. Taste is heavy on the bitter side, with citrus backers. Palate is well balanced
with a good mix of body texture and finish.s

can sample- pours light orange with good clariy. Robust off white head and soapy lacing. Nose- syrupy sweet, pine and onion. Taste- thick resiny hops, sweet cookie dough malts. Finishes with a significant amount of booze hotness and asprin like dryness. Drinkability suffers from the hotness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz can purchased from oshea’s brewing - Pours a fairly clear deep yellow color with smallish off white head that dissipates with a tiny bit of lacing. Aroma has slightly spicey hops, with notes of onion, garlic, lemongrass, black pepper, hint of grapefruit and cotton candy. Flavor is fairly hoppy, does have a bit of onion hint, with a touch of malt. Finish is fairly bitter but not overwhelming. A fairly well crafted beer, but I am really not a big fan of these hops. Not something I would seek out again.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bold gold color with fluffy head and some lacing. Aroma is of strong citrus...zoiks, I think I detect some of that funky herbal hop that I’ve heard about this beer. On first sip, while cold, the strong citrus rind flavor and corresponding strong bitter bite was pleasant, and only a hint of that garlic/oniony thing that this thing is (in)famous for. As it warmed, though, it got undrinkable and I had to pour just over half of this. Seriously, did anyone taste test this? Who wants a garlic/oniony flavor in their beer? Really awful.

On tap @ Tap House Grill. Clear orange pour, scant white head which leaves a heavy lace. Flowery nose, balanced, heavy body with excellent mouth feel. Grapes, resinous hops, dates and a quick finish.

12 Oz. Can. Pours a hazed light golden copper with solid medium head and great lacing. Aroma is very pungent hops with strong notes of citrus, grapefruit, and resinous hops. Flavor is very hop dominant all the way through with a very bitter and slightly spicy taste and has only as much malt character as is necessarily. Medium bodied with a surprisingly smooth palate and a very clean finish that has a nice but calm aftertaste. I expected the finish to be very sticky and hop oily but it is not at all, quite refreshing.

2010-07-05. Crisp golden body with a small white head. 3+ Leafy green hops, lovely citrus and topical fruit accents, odd weedy note pops up. 6+ Flavour is similar, sweet citrus and tropical fruit, green hops with a bit of resin and misc green hop character. Alcohol is fairly restrained. Fruity character grows pleasantly as it warms. 7+ Smooth medium bodied palate. 3+ Good beer to finish up our west coast trip. Can from Pike Street Beer and Wine, Seattle

Canned@Akkurat, Stockholm. Reddish orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, grass, some floral hops as well along with caramel malts and some mild toasted notes. Flavour is very bitter fruity, grassy and herbal with also some floral notes. Mild bready and caramelly malts along with some alcohol is smoothening all the bitterness up a bit.

This is a fantastic IIPA to me. Pours with a redish hue, a thin head that disipates quickly. A sweet, hoppy aroma with a touch of caramel malts. The flavor is very well balanced. This is how I like my IIPAs. Hoppy, and with a good dose of malts. Caramel and toffee come through for me, with some citrus and floral notes up front and a long finish.
My god, I think I’m in love.
