Extremely hoppy! Itís very similar to hopslam, pliny the elder, and a little sumpin extra. Great hoppy flavor, citrus and a floral scent. Lots of flavor. Great beer!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Has a great smooth pour out of the can. I never know what to expect from a beer that comes from a can, but the gubna is just plain good. The aroma is hoppy and a little fruity. The color is goldish with a red tint to it. Itís pretty hoppy but nothing too over the top.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear orange, thick foamy white head. Aroma of coconut, pineapple, tropical citrus, herb, sweet. Taste is not as bitter as I thought but is there heavily. Smooth for 10%. Thick texture, soft carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz can (obviously). The pour on this one is a golden yellow honey color with a moderate white head. The nose is honey, floral, piney hops, caramel malt, and a tiny bit of abv. The taste is dank hops with a citrusy pineapple and lemon zest followed by caramel malt and a nice mellow bitterness. The palate is on the thicker side of IIPAís like Great Divide Hercules. The lacing is minimal but somehow a little sticky. Great IIPA.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
very bitter, medium sweetness, orange, clear, rocky head, white foam, medium body, average carbonation, bitter, astringent, long finish.
I found it to be complex in that there was always a taste or a sensation changing and evolving over the course of time. The strongest plusses on it for me were the appearance and the aroma both of which were solid especially for style. The aroma was like opening a box of hops and being assaulted with diferent scents but still worked harmoniously. The color is everything I want and the head was pillowy with some soft peaks and lasted a moderate amount of time. Not much lacing but seriously I donít care. The taste is hard to pin down. One minute it is great the next something is either clashing or missing. As it warms it grows on you, or it could just be the 10% ABV mule kicking your taste buds into Mellowsville. Overall it is good, is it $16 a 4 pack good? Iím not sure, Iím in Mellowsville.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Clear copper color. Only a medium head with a vigorous pour fades to a dusting of head. Awesome crisp, grassy nose. Pure hops.Sticky sweet hops, like pure hop juice and alcohol. Lots of grass, a little honey, and a very hot, booze-filled finish. A bit more complexity to the flavor profile would help to avoid the dominance of the alcohol, but other than that, this a great one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cans (expensive!). Pours with a slightly hazed golden body with a small white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of tropical fruits, herbal, grassy hop notes. Some sugar, but mostly a dry malt profile. Taste is hoppy, bitter, grassy and fruity. Iíve brewed with summit before (although not by itself). After trying this, I really think it needs another hop to play off of. That would really put this beer "over the edge," balance the hop profile, and make it really spectacular. As it is, Summit is an awesome hop, but its really high alpha acids and extremely high oil content leave it as a messy hop to use by itself (in my opinion, but I love this hop when used with others). Nice and dry malt backbone. Dry, prickly carbonation. Good, but I was hoping for better.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can. Heavy malt aroma of burnt caramel, harsh pine and a little grapefruit peel for the hops, with hints of light leather, date, honey, solvent and some booziness. Head is small, starts frothy but turns wispy, white with some thin slippery lacing and is almost fully diminishing. Color starts hazy then turns clear, orange/tan. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft carbonation, and soft finishes with none of the astringency that coms with most over hopped DIPAs. Pretty good, the flavor is a lot milder than the aroma leads on to be.
