Huge citrusy hop nose that is full of resin. Nice dark yellow color with lively carbonation and fluffy head. Flavor is very nice and as advertised: tons of hoppy bitterness with a pungent, funky note to the summit hops. For some reason it did become less exciting toward the finish -- I attributed this to the one-note hop character but that could be wrong. Still, intensely bitter and excellent demonstration of a drinkable hop-bomb.

holy hoppiness, this is incredible! I donít know how much the randal is changing the original hop character, but this is like stuffing your mouth full of hops and then drinking a sweet ipa. Itís got a sweet pale malt foundation, but is as full of fresh hops as it can get. Malt sweetness and hop bitterness are balanced, but hop aroma and flavor is off the charts.

Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz can. Hazy dark orange pour with a frothy white head. Aroma of faint cat urine, heavy spruce. Solid citrus flavor, slightly bitter, mellowed out by peach and nectarines and a back end of green tea. Thickish, rich mouthfeel. Overall, a solid entrant from Oskar Blues.

Spruce and caramel jumped out of the can first for me. I needed food to eat with it, a strong cheese would do well with this beer.

Can. Clear, lively gold pour with no head. Aroma is very sweet and resinous with a juicy citrus character. Luscious sweetness with a mild bitterness for the style and a juicy hop finish. Also show a significant spiciness, probably more from the rye than the hops. Very well balanced and dangerously drinkable.

12 oz. can from Total Wine in Raleigh (Triangle Plaza). Copper orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma of floral hops, pine needles, and fresh cut grass. Big bold piney hop flavor with a nicely balanced caramel malt backbone. Alcohol is non-existent, even at 10% ABV. Tastes very much like Dogfish 90 Minute. Outstanding.

nice gold/amber pour with a thin cream head. fresh sticky pine hops, undernotes of florally esters and honey. thick on the palate, really coats your mouth with resiny hops and a light honey sweetness, alcohol is almost unnoticed until it hits your stomache.

Aroma has a big orange Jello fruitiness with lots of west coast hops. Some pungent and veggie hop tones in there. Mostly clear brownish orange, not much head, viscous pour, bleh can design. The pungent, and off notes in the aroma really come through in the flavor profile. Pretty heavily bittered, not as sweet as the aroma would lead you to believe, heavy mouthfeel. Very light vanilla and caramel, some woodiness. Aftertaste is all about the hops. Warming. New Lear Market.
