COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each year GUBNA takes on a personality of its own. We seek out the most exciting and best available hops from each individual season to create a potent and complex Imperial IPA. GUBNA is packed with Rye and North American Pale Malt and accented with Munich Malt to give a spicy and flavorful backbone to support loads of kettle hops driving the IBUs to triple digits.
** This beer will now feature different hops in the massive dry hop every year.
2015 - Features whole leaf Galena hops, plus Sorachi Ace and Columbus hops. Dry hopped with copious amounts of El Dorado, Comet and Chinook.

It’s a little malty for me, even if it is an Imperial IPA. Aroma is mostly lost on me as usual. Pours murky dark tan. Taste is a sweetness that I’d call "light syrupy", with a pretty serious hops bitter bite. Body is fairly heavy and the bitterness sticks around. I’d call this in between a double and an Imperial IPA. Quite nice. Will get this again for sure.

Can - big foamy head, medium straw color, good size pineapple and coconut aroma and flavor (was not expecting that, but it's a very good thing, reminds me of a piña colada!), good malt backbone, fairly bitter finish with some lingering coconut notes, excellent overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A tad bit syrupy. Descent aroma but truthfully I have already had to much to drink tonight.

On tap at OB tasty weasel. Standard looking beer with a good albeit kinda weak aroma. The flavor is out of this world. Mango, kiwi, pineapple with a sharp, hoppy finish. This was very good, and I will be buying some soon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned 5/12/2015 enjoyed 7/23/2015 in a tulip/snifter. Look - Lighter than normal orange. Relatively clear. Thick ivory head but I over poured. Medium sized bubbles. Lacing retains until it is gone. Smell - Grass. Malt. Caramel. Light citrus. Taste - Dank. Hoppy bitterness. Grapefruit and other citrus. Balanced well with pine and malt. One drink one comes out, the other the next. Spice. Feel - Medium to heavy. Carbonated throughout. Alcohol burn but not overpowering. Overall - I expected more of a Triple IPA for some reason which did not come through in the look but did in the taste. Good beer.

355ml can from Systembolaget. Clear golden, lots of small bubbles in the glass, thick, compact, fluffy, white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Hoppy aroma, sweet tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, ripe orange and caramel. Mild carbonated, creamy mouthfeel, full body. The taste is rich and deep, pineapple, mango, peach, orange, tangerines, coconut. Finish with grapefruit, citrus peel and pine bitterness.

Burk från SB 2015. EN kompetent välgjord klassisk DIPA som tyvärr inte är superfärsk när den når SB. Det gör att den specifika humlemixen är svår att urskilja. Men balans och tryck i beskan är det inget fel på. Smarrigt.

355ml can. Clear orange body with a medium white head. Tropical fruits, lemonjuice, grape peel, alcohol and a hint of grass.

Pours as clear as they come, orange, slightly darker than your average IPA. The aroma fills the room and putting ones nose to it is a experience! Mandarin Citrus in abundance, very sweet aroma. Taste is the same with the added dankness and heavy bitterness that makes it an IIPA. No alcohol whatsoever on the taste, some slight warming going down the throat. 2015 version, probably one of the best Imperials i have ever had. Wondrous beer! Bottle from SB

Burk från Systembolaget. Klar guldfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Härlig doft som går åt mango/persika. Kraftig tung dricka, känns att den är stark utan att bli spritig. Söt med söt beska i eftersmaken.

Can, canned 01/05/15. Pours orange with a small, whitehead. Aroma is fresh green hops, citrus, lime, light caramel. Taste is very hoppy. Lime guava, papaya, passionfruit, some caramel. Very rich. The alcohol is well hidden. Full. Really great.
