COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each year GUBNA takes on a personality of its own. We seek out the most exciting and best available hops from each individual season to create a potent and complex Imperial IPA. GUBNA is packed with Rye and North American Pale Malt and accented with Munich Malt to give a spicy and flavorful backbone to support loads of kettle hops driving the IBUs to triple digits.
** This beer will now feature different hops in the massive dry hop every year.
2015 - Features whole leaf Galena hops, plus Sorachi Ace and Columbus hops. Dry hopped with copious amounts of El Dorado, Comet and Chinook.

Shocking that this extremely balanced, smooth, chuggable brew is a 10% heavyweight. Outstanding beer in all aspects, easily a favorite of mine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canning date: 05/01/15 (just over 2 months old). Pours clear gold with white head, looks like a macro lager in the glass. Extremely fruity aroma. Peaches, plums, mango, candied papaya, a hint of pine resin and some fir honey. Rather full bodied for an IPA, balanced sweetness, the bitterness is rather restrained, but the finish is quite impressive non the less.

(355ml can from Systembolaget, data 05/01/15) Pours clear dark gold with a fluffy short lived white head and no lace. Aroma is papaya, apricot, cedar foliage, grapefruit, lemon zest, light caramel and spicy malts, hint of coconut. On the palate, lightly sweet with peach, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit and that funny slightly buttery coconut Sorachi Ace quality. Hops kick in bitterness in the middle though, with a leafy character that has fresh pine and cedar and a menthol buzz to it, and a little citrus peel. Finish dry, moderately bitter, softly clinging to the mouth. Medium bodied and slick with average carb and very little alcohol heat. An interesting fruit + leaf hop character here, perhaps not my favourite but good for variety. Quite clean and easy on the finish, doesn’t drink its weight. Nice one, though it might have a bigger hit fresh.

Can to goblet dated less than 3 weeks ago, fresh. Pours a light med gold with 1/2 inch head receding with some lace. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, mild bready/yeast, light floral, mild ripe fruit that intensifies a little more upon warming. Pretty mild and subtle if much of any hop character. Taste is some sweet caramel malt of the lighter variety, spicey toast malt, hoppy in a biting just general hoppy flavor, with a spicey pine maybe being predominant. Foamy med full body, a bit of off yeast at times, fairly clean ipa, sort of a minty pine/ peppermint and alcohol in finish. Fairly dry, drinkable. Not too sweet or alcoholy but it is strong with a bite to it. Overall not bad for a double ipa its size but this doesn’t inspire me as a double ipa this size either. Too expensive, I can think of at least a dozen and more this size I would buy before this on average... but this is probably above average. This actually might be one the cleanest IIPA’s Ive ever had and I mean that in a boring one dimensional kind of way.

Pilsnerfärgad med litet vit skum. Doftar och smakar maltigt och spritigt. Vart är humlen?? Väldigt mycket alkohol i smaken. Riktig besvikelse!
