Each year GUBNA takes on a personality of its own. We seek out the most exciting and best available hops from each individual season to create a potent and complex Imperial IPA. GUBNA is packed with Rye and North American Pale Malt and accented with Munich Malt to give a spicy and flavorful backbone to support loads of kettle hops driving the IBUs to triple digits.
** This beer will now feature different hops in the massive dry hop every year.
2015 - Features whole leaf Galena hops, plus Sorachi Ace and Columbus hops. Dry hopped with copious amounts of El Dorado, Comet and Chinook.

The clear orange color leads to a citrus nose that almost smells bitter, then the taste backs that up. Huge hops that don't disappoint. Still a lot of bitterness on the heavy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cant believe I never rated. Pours a deep amber with haze and a big head. Nice lace. Aroma is citrus fruits, ripe fruits, some pine, and big malts. Taste is great balance of the malty backbone and the fruity hops. Orange, lemon, apples, and caramel. Not bitter, just BIG flavors. Some spicy notes on the finish.

On tap in a pint glass. One finger head that quickly dissipates, but leaves heavy sticky lacing. Smells of citrus, booze, and a flowery mix of a multitude of hop variety. The taste is initially sweet like honey and as it passes over the tongue it begins to transition into lemony, bitter, dry, citrus however; it finishes sweet with an overtone of malt. The mouthfeel is less sticky than expected but it still lingers with a bitter orange peel flavor clouded by an unshakable malt. Overall, not my first choice at $8.71 at the pub, but it sure packs an alcoholic punch.

Canned, poured into glass. Sept 2015. This is an amazing IPA. Big, bold, and very complex. Pours with a tremendous head that lasts for the duration. Great stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: heavy, overripe fruit, caramel, sugary grain malts. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, medium, creamy, white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: fruity sweetness continues, heavy, ripe fruits, some pine, full body. Overall: nice IIPA, could do with more intense aroma, but plate is amazing. Can at BrewDog, Edinburgh. Flaska från systembolaget. Ljusgul med enormt skum. Doftar sötsliskigt humlig. Smak av detsamma och lite smör. Inte så frisk smak. Helt ok.

Clear amber with a three finger high, white head. Lacing stays on the glass.

Nose: A lot of tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, orange marmelade, honey, ripe apple, caramel malt and citrus.
Taste: Marmelade, orange zest, grapefruit, citrus, resin, caramel malt, grass and some honey.
Body: Full body, Medium carbonated. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Great texture.
Over all a great DIPA! A little bit overpriced in Sweden though... 50 SEK (6 USD) - There is a lot of great DIPA:s for less money. 3.75 USD at @TotalWine in Florida - a little more reasonable but on the other hand, only 2.50 USD for Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA...

Very smooth considering the ABV. Sweet pineapple and peach from the hops with some caramel from the malt in the initial taste then a piney bitter aftertaste that lingers although not for too long. This could be dangerous.
