4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
From my tasting notes: The beer poured a golden amber with a generous white head. I got a hint of onion in the aroma like I had heard, but more of a sweet onion with a base of sweet citrus and tropical fruit. The taste was a bitter hop monster that erupted in my mouth like biting into a grapefruit rind. The Gubna was big, bold and full of hop dominance with a blast of grapefruit and dank resinous hops. The rye malt gave the brew a spicy malt balance and a great lingering taste on my tongue. This had a very strong balanced bitterness that was delicious and surprisingly smooth and easy to drink. It got a little boozy as it warmed, but that’s to be expected with such a high ABV.

Wow!!! One of the best smelling beers out there. So much hops!! Great beer if you are a hop head if not try this one to see what hops really can do for a beer! Great!

Light copper, almost yellow. Tons of citrus and slight pungent hop aroma (thank you for using SUMMIT!) Flavor is tropical fruits, super summit spice, and lots of bitterness. Subtle honey sweetness when balanced with the heavy hops. Great stuff.

Can. Clear golden color, medium white head working down to a thin lacing. Citrus and floral dominate the aroma. Sweet citrus and berry fruit taste. Medium-thin body, sticky texture, long & dry bitter finish. Nice double IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
reminded me of Belgian blonde ale but with decent hopping presence. Pale in color, malt oriented more than hops, thick textured and foamed, above medium body, aroma dominated by lime zest, floral-grassy tones, bitternes- average for style, medium lasting aftertaste. Interesting for one time.

Can. Ok, that’s a bitter beer. Has some kick too. Gold in color with a nice head. It is weirdly strong on the citrus side. Taste is well like a really bitter, alcohol tasting IPA.

The aroma is hops - spruce, grass. Pours a yellow/orange, clear with a big frothy head mostly diminishing with excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is light to medium, creamy with average carbonation and the finish is a long bitter. Very good.

On tap at Rustico. Pours a clear dark golden orange color with one inch of white head that settles quickly to lacing. Aroma is citrus with slight spicy quality. Flavor is aggressive and big: hoppy bitterness with swet malt presence that is ultimately masked by forward alcohol presence. Bitter aftertaste, overall unbalanced to my taste.
