COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Emphasizing that complexity of character can arise from simple elements, this ale is made with three malts and one hop. Its light amber color and slightly spicy malt character are derived from the use of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt respectively. North American 2-row barley combines with the other grains to lay the foundation for the hop onslaught to come. Summit hops are used exclusively in the boil for bitterness, flavor and aroma but it doesn’t end there. Post-fermentation dry hopping allows the 10% ABV monstrosity to gently coax the citrus rind and grapefruit aroma to join the 100 IBUs already present. This beer should greet you with a pungent citrus blast, provide a spicy yet round middle and finish with a brisk, clean bitterness. Columbus in early and mid kettle.
** This beer will now feature different hops in the massive dry hop every year.
2014 - Sorachi Ace, Mosaic, and Chinook. Incredibly complex mix of lemon zest, pineapple, red berries, peach, and a hint of dank earthiness.

Can. Poured a murky medium orange with an average sized frothy head that lasted throughout and had excellent lacing. The aroma was of grain malts, a sweet yeast and a strong note of citrus hops. It tasted bitter-sweet from the onset and shifted slightly to a bitter-sour hoppy flavor with a hint of grapefriut at the end. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and dry in texture with a soft carbonation. Overall a nice and tasty Imperial IPA with the alcohol tinge hidden well in the complexity of flavors.

Pours a light coppery color with a billowing, white, soapy head that lasts quite a while. Sweet smell to it, with a hop presence. Taste is confusing. Very sweet. For some reason rock candy keeps entering my mind. There is a hoppiness to it, but not overpowering. Get a bit of resiny flavor in the back end. So, sweet malt, candy-like flavor. A bit of spiciness (not hot spicy, but spicy nonetheless). The beer coats the whole mouth. I like it, but the taste is really unique and still wrapping the head around it.

Thx! 355 ml. can sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Hazy orange, little head. Nose is fruits, vanilla, sweet; Taste is vanilla, popcorn, shockingly sweet, onion hops, sugar, citrus, sweet spices. Thick body. Is this how it is supposed. Feels like a mistake but I have to admit that I really did enjoy the taste. Really enjoyable for me, whatever this is.

Small to medium head over clear golden beer. Hops, fruity and citrussy, but rather fleetingly. Hint at saltiness/fish - DMS in high concentration? Sweet, spicy as in Christmas spices, with again that mineral touch. Quite slick, medium bodied. Weird! I really guess DMS.
