Commercial Description:
Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

A humorous name for a good but not great pilsner. The pour suggests a light, fizzy texture, but upon swirling in the glass, more body becomes apparent. The aroma has some "dirty" notes (well said, drink4satan) of straw and cereal grain along with the expected pale malt and hop notes. The flavor is rather sweet for a pilsner, more sugary than malty, and the Saaz hops do not assert themselves as they do with Urquell. Some sugar and hops remain in the short finish. IMO, Victory Prima Pils remains several notches above Oskar Blues’ latest effort.

Pale straw gold. An abundant snow-white head leaves a good lace. Aroma has good travel, rich in grassy notes and cook vegetables. Flavor is also highly vegetal, cooked corn, lager yeast. There’s a nice citric twinge of lemon in there. Medium to full body with a soft, sudsy mouthfeel.

Can poured into a pint glass. Hazy yellow-gold with a small white head that fades away pretty quickly. Cereal grain aroma with bready pilsener malt. Minor lemony character. Flavor is very crackery and bready with a modest pithy citric twang and a whisper of bitterness in the finish. Fairly crisp with light body and nice, fine carbonation. Good drinkability.

Im drinking it out of the can like nature intended, but if I must...i will go now and waste some by pouring it into a glass just so i can rate the appearance, bullshit if you ask me. OK, im back to report that its a yellow beer...and with a big fluffy head. Thanks. Nose was a rustic lager scent with notes of straw and sweet grain cereal. Flavors were as nice as I have ever had in a lager...I mean, this almost tastes fucking awesome. Clean, grainy, somewhat sweet, a little cereal, and with a spicy saaz characteristic in the finish..no adjuncty jet fuel bullshit here...just a nice session beer. at $10 a six pack, if every dickhead drank this instead of budweiser, I’d have more business. RE-rate after 20 or six packs- NOT SURE IF THEY PUT COCAINE IN THIS OR WHAT, BUT I AM ADDICTED, I DRINK TWO OF THESE FOR EVERY OTHER BEER I DRINK.

tasting sample at grape & gourmet. pours a clear, yellow with very little head and zero lacing. aroma was your typical pilsner with tiny malts and very tiny hops. flavor was nothing more than typical as well with just a touch of floral hops that made it better that budweiser. palate with thin and light. overall, a good canned beer for the beach but nothing more.
