COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

Clear yellow pour with small white head. Aroma of corn, hay and hops. Taste of sweetened corn, grains, and faint hops on the finish. Medium bodied, nice crisp and refreshing on a hot day.

Can from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a pale golden beer with a sugary fruity and slight soapy flavour, sweet malty and grassy notes with a light floral finish.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Decent retention for a pilsner. Aroma is hay, sweet malts, and cracker. Taste is very pleasant. Extremely drinkable beer. Flavor is sweet malts, wheat, biscuit, and honey. There is a hint of peppery spice that lingers on the back end. Beer is nicely carbonated. It doesn’t have a big full mouthfeel but you can’t expect that from this style. Overall this beer is great for unwinding at the end of a long day, and throwing a few back. It’s tasty, easy to drink, and you don’t have to think about it too much to evaluate all the nuances and subtleties like you would a Trappist ale or Imperial Stout. This is a no nonsense, sit-back-and-relax, brew. I just wish it was more widely available in the grocery stores in my area. The only thing keeping it from being a staple in my frig. That and the $10 price tag for a six-pack. This beer is essentially what all the mass produced beers in America should taste like.

Sampled at the brewery. Clear yellow. Very much to style. A nicebrightness from the hops. Pleasant malts. What you hope for in a pils.

From a can. Glad to se OB showing up in Boise again after a few years. Slightly hazy straw yellow with a nice bright white head. Sweet cereal and light malt aroma. Classic Pilsener flavor but sweeter and quite a bit less of the familiar czech hop notes. Actually a bit of a departure there from the traditional. Still, very tasty and makes me dislike the style less...

sawbuck (253) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Aroma bread, malt and some cereal. Pours a pale cloudy yellow with a white head that is fairly thick and lasting. Sweet malt is up front, balanced with a peppery spice of hops. Sweetness is not balanced enough however. Finishes with a corny sweet taste with a haze of bitterness. Average pilsner.

Pale yellow pour with little aroma. Light flavor with some German hops coming through. Decent flavor, pretty good for a pilsner which is a style I do not enjoy.

Minimal trübes goldgelbes Pils, starke Karbonation, schöne stabile Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht hopfig, malzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr herb fruchtig. Auch im Nachgeschmack noch bitter!
