3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
i likened the aroma to Coors from the old days, before the recipe changed and pasteurization ruined the light hefe taste, though there was an element of pepper that I found unusual. The beer looked okay in pale yellow with a great spongy head which invited the first taste. I liked the soft taste of the Yella Pils which lacked the sharpness I find in most American Pils. Overall, the Yella Pils is one of easiest American interpretations of the Pils style to drink.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. can. Clear yellow gold color with carbonation bubbles noticeable. Off white head lingers as thin film, pretty good lacing. Not much on aroma, some sweet corn malt, actually some metal detectable on this one. Taste is pretty standard pilsner, but definitely done well. Nice and balanced, crisp hop bite, with underlying malt backbone, this would be a great one to keep in the can and take outdoors.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Too sweet, lacks hop aroma and flavor and fails to justify its relatively high price tag. On the other hand, there is no sour mash off-flavor. The simple, sugary malt flavor isn’t counterbalanced properly and just makes me think of the taste of pale malt extract.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light gold pour, and a 1 finger head. Aroma is a mix of engaging floral hops and macro corn nastiness. It is pretty sweet (for a pilsener) to start with, and then some hops move in for an unanticipated peppy finish. Not a great pils and not the best from this brewery.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a fan of cans but after the Pale Ale I was stoked. Alas this was a letdown. Yello pour with white head in my glass. Sweet grass scent. Just not much in flavor. I will try it again in the summer and it would be a good session beer (prima pils is better).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours clear golden with medium white head that fades fast. aroma is grassy, pine, citrus, malt. drinks crisp with a bite of hop oils with pine, citrus, lemon grass, light caramel. this one is crazy drinkable and finishes slightly dry and very crisp. begs to be gulped.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a can into a tasting glass.
The color is a hazy yellow/orange with some slight white head that clear off pretty quickly and leaves no lacing.
The smell is a nice citrus flavor with some bitter hops notes and a little CO2 smell.
The taste is a touch of hops with some lemon and grapefruit flavor that pushes this beer forward. There is a bit of a funck flavor that does come out toward the end that was a bit of a surprise but did not disrupt the pleasant pilsner flavor.
The feel of the beer is medium bodied and is easy going down. It is pretty crisp and has a good amount of carbonation. A really great beer even if it is served in a can.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Meh. It’s an average - to mediocre pilsner. Color is a dull yellow, head is non-existent, and the flavor is one-dimensional. There are better pilsners out there; don’t bother.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one poured a nice golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma was sweet, floral, and lemony. Flavor is of malt, some hops, grassy, and a bit of that corn taste, however, its not like your macro corn taste. Really nice for a pilsner, especially when pilsner is such a bland style.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice beer that’s a bit thin, but ultimately what nice pilseners are made of. Medium hops that are mainly grassy and very little malts. Not quite an all hop brew like some bigger pilseners are, but very decent none the less.
