Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

Yellow pour with lively carbonation and 2 finger white head. Aroma is the slightest sweet malt, and grassy hops with typical lager gain. Flavor is surprisingly sweet- caramel and citrus mellow out into a crisp clean finish. Palate is smooth and clean. Nice pilsener.

Can. A pilsner-pale lager type american hybrid. Listen: this tastes like the real deal American pale lager. What your dads drank. Old style, coors, yuengling, this is a beer that brings back that style. Some bohemian pilsner style hops in the nose, light corn.Flavor is lightly sweet, grainy, with an overriding cascade of lightly bitter hops. A good ole american beer.

Reviewed 4/9/2009 (Can): Pours a very clear yellow color body some small white color head quickly diminishing. Malty somewhat skunky aroma, some mustiness. Not overly strong. Light lagery taste. Some graininess. And a hoppy aftertaste. A little skunky tasting but not too bad. Some lager maltiness. Very carbonated.

Comes out of the can with a fizzy white head sitting on top of a crystal clear yellow body. Looks incredibly refreshing but the head fades to nothing within a minute or so. A grassy honey aroma with a hint of lemon. Flavor is full and pleasant. A nice touch of bitterness at the finish compliments the honey in the body. A little thick but the flavor throughout makes up for it.

Clear yellow, and fairly bubbly. Nice white head. Some corn in the aroma, plus some mellow floral hops. Nicely crisp, and a tad sweet. Peppery finish. Nicely quaffable and tasty.

Can. Pours clear yellow with a 2 finger snow white head that results in nice lacing. The nose is malt and light citrus. The taste is grain, sweet malt and grassy hops with some lemon zest in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Not one of their better offerings, but drinkable.

Can courtesy of oakes and beershine. Pale gold pour with a white head. Grainy and malty on the nose with less hops than I would have expected. Flavor has some honey and malt with very weak hops. This beer is not nearly as good as I expected. Tastes like they are trying to marke to miller lite fans.

Can of course. Pours golden yellow, white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, and alcoholic. Flavor is malt, corn, wheat, hops, alcohol. Not well blended and there’s a fair amount of chemical bitterness. I feel like I either have to chug this or pour it. Ah hell, I’ll chug it.

Another winner from Oskar Blues. It’s not as good as Dale’s, but its a pilsner. And pilsners like hefes vary little from decent to good and from good to great. This one differed enough to make it great for a pils. Not too dry and bitter like some can be. Big fluffy white head, yella body coloring with minimal carbonation. I do love the can aspect and found this at a new beer shop, so it was all around good one for me.
