4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This only rated 3.12 as of October, 2012. This makes me suspect that either this stuff is incredibly inconsistent or people just don’t like a good American craft lager. This is rather more Pilsner-like than most American brews billed as such but still is very much from the country it’s brewed in. It’s a nice golden yellow w/ a scant but lasting head of fine bubbles. The nose is rather brighter than I’d expect from a Pilsner but quite nice w/ loads of floral character. Flavor too is nice and clean w/ a firm citrus-rind bitterness in the finish. There is a touch of sweetness but fine carbonation helps keep it perfectly drinkable. There is really a lot to like here and a good deal of complexity for a lighter brew. This isn’t really a Pilsner--meaning it does not taste like a European pils--but it gives you pretty much exactly what you’d want out of such a beer.

On tap. Pours a clear light gold with little head. Aromas of apples, cereal, and light dill. I wonder if the glass is clean... Light flavors of apples, toasted malts, and bread. Didn’t get any spice or floral notes - just a fruity slightly sweet lager.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours slightly hazy bright yellow with a frothy white head, very good retention and lacing. pils, lightly sweet cereals - sweet bread, sulfur, lemon - sweetish lemonade, grassy-floral nobleness, spicy and peppery, fruity coconut - hint of vanilla, light woodsy and astringent notes. average carbonation, light body - oily, drying citrusy-floral-peppery-grassy finish. on the sweet side of pils. quite enjoyed anyway!

Quality pilsner with a good balance between floral hops and grassy malts. Alcohol sting on the end takes away slightly from total experience.

Had this in can at End of The Road Festival, Saturday 30th August 2014 Pours first piss of the morning yellow with a white head. Sweeter than expected, not so lagery with more of a sweeter malty edge. Good. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov13 3.3

Up in the danger zone: great grassy aroma; smooth, slightly sweet taste; snappy carbonation; and an easy finish. One could easily drink several painlessly.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(can) Pours a semi-hazy light yellow color with a voluminous white head that retains really well. Getting a heavy dose of pils malt in the nose, and it’s more on the doughy stripe than the crackery side of things. Little hint of honey and an abundant amount of lemon zest. Oddly enough, there’s a little hint of tropical fruit present in this that reminds me of tangerine or orange. It smells a bit like the orange colored Starburst and is heavily accented after you swirl the glass. Flavor contains more of that sweet bread dough quality, with a glimmer of honey and a slight mineral character that’s not nearly present enough to shear off the malty sweetness. There’s a little hint of the orange I picked up in the aroma, but it serves as a minor blip on the sensory radar screen. Everything tastes a bit muddled here, which is not a quality I look for in a good pils. Mouthfeel is medium and carb is appropriate. Overall, not a bad beer by any means, but this one will not be particularly memorable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a really well made pilsner. The hops are not massively prominent but give up enough to keep this interesting. Light bodied with well balanced carbonation. Does not leave a sickly corn taste like many other lager/pils beers. Easy to drink and good for those days where you need a refreshing, toned down beer to enjoy.

Rated based on notes taken 22 Jun 2012 -- This is a great simple pilsner. A little lacking in the hop department, but overall I could drink this all friggin’ day.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma: Very light aroma; a whiff of grain and grass, not much else. Appearance: Light yellow pour with a skin of white head. Flavor: Crackery malts up front; saaz comes off more grassy/herbal than noble; has a lingering moderate grassiness toward the finish. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, very soft carbonation, lingering finish. Overall: Found this to be kinda limp, and I love Pilsner beer. Saaz felt odd to me here.
