Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

Can poured into pilsener glass. Clear straw gold, effervescent, dense creamy white foam leaves raccoon-tail lace rings. Powerful, unpleasant aromaÖ sulfur and cooked cabbage, grainy, farty, sugary. OB needs some preemptive DMS control.Grainy and corny taste, toasted sourdough, strong sugary notes; pretty rough around the edges... and everywhere in between as well. At least it has a thousand times more personality than the bigbrewer American pisswater lagers. Medium body with some CO2 tingle, watery finish and metallic aftertaste.

Turtles (1224) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 13, 2016
Can @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Almost clear, lacing white head. Mild grassy aroma, bread and biscuits. Medium carbonated. Clean mild taste, bread and dough with earthy and grassy hops. Not too much going on.

Tap at Brewdog Clerkenwell Road. Slight floral nose. Malty and mild bitter finish. Okay beer.

12oz can from Beer52.com. A clear straw coloured pour with a thin white head; grassy aroma; quite lively in the mouth with a crisp grainy body, some citrus and some grassy hops; then a clean finish. A pleasant pils.

Not the greatest pilsner Iíve ever had, but pretty serviceable. There was some good flavor from the malt, but also a bit of macro lager skunkiness. This would probably be pretty good on a hot day (too bad it was a snowy day in New Hampshire).

Pretty standard pils, to be honest. Sweet, floral aroma. Similarly sweet, honeyed flavour. Lacks a bit of bite. Meh.

(From notes). Pours a bubbly yellow-gold with a white head that soon reduces to a few blotches of foam and a ring. S - more malt in the aroma than typical; otherwise unremarkable. T - rather typical for style excepting a slight sourness. M - average amount of carbonation; thin/medium body. O - a good but not great pilsner. Overpriced although this may be hard to beat if you must have it in a can.

Enjoyed at Todd English in Vegas. Pours a light golden colour with a white cap and good lacing. Hoppy nose aromas. Also hoppy tasting with some grain in the finish. Balanced bitterness and dryness. A nice American pils.

Can. Pale yellow in color with one finger of a frothy head that slowly dissipates. Aroma is floral with a bread dough and citrus flavor. Tasty.

Pours a golden color. Thick two finger white head. Slightly hazy pour. Nicely carbonated. Nice lacing.

Aroma is bready. Also light pine, light citrus. Also light roasted malt. Not a powerful Aroma.

Taste is well balanced. Not too sweet, not bitter, at least up front. I can taste the yeast. Finishes slightly bitter at the end, but only slightly. Citrusy hops maybe. Itís surprising flavorful, although hard to dissect.

Mouthfeel is pretty light. Not too bitter. Crisp, refreshing. Not much more to say.

Overall, itís good. For a pilsener its good. I like it. Itís nothing memorable. Well, its in a can, donít think Iíll forget íthat pilsener in a can.í. But it is worth trying. I would buy it again.
