1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20 arrogantb (1398) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 16, 2013
On tap at Rackhouse, 10oz served in a globe. It looked great, the head was huge and creamy. The aroma was vienna sausages, no lie. I even had my buddy smell and he concurred. What the fuck? The flavor had a beat of smokiness, meatiness like baloney. My friend said definite processed meat. What a failure of a beer, I was so disappointed in myself for not getting a sample first.

Pint on tap at Lackman for $7, nitro pour. Dark brown color. Creamy, thick tan / light brown head. Medium body. Smooth creamy texture. Good chewiness for a nitro - stout. Light to medium smooth carbonation. No stickiness. Decent roast malt character. Some coffee. Very light dark chocolate. Little bitter taste. Less sweet. Solid, light drinkable stout.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 notalush (4174) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Nitro at Rackhouse - nose is quite dry and fairly earthy - quite a bit of wood and a hint of smoke, along with light dry cocoa - creamy body, though fairly light - flavor is quite dry, medium bitterness and roast, a bit of wood and some smoke - low acidity - long, dry finish - I like it!

Draft to taster. Looks good; settles into a more opaque cola black with nitro foam off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of dark malt and roast with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good beer.

Pours a thick brownish-black on tap with thin, lacy tan head that sticks lightly. Aroma is slight roasted malt, taste is more forward, roasted and coffee. Easy to drink, pretty good.

On tap at Tyler’s, Apex. Chilly afternoon post-game and a beer like this seemed just the ticket. Handsome enough look to the beer, but it wasn’t quite the thick and creamy brew I’d hoped for. Despite the thinnish body, it was fairly flavorful if a bit light on the roasts for the style (more rich and milk chocolatey). Decent.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jcartamdg (1144) - Spring Hill, Florida, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Pours a dark brown with a light mocha head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is coffee, slight hop bitterness and moderate roast. Smooth and crazy drinkable. Really nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Brouwerij (414) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Pours a dark brown with a fine tan head. Good retention, minimal lacing. Mild aroma with raspberry and malt tones. Flavor is strong raspberry with malty, caramel, and nutty tones. Raspberry flavor is dominant character of this beer. Moderate carbonation and light body, especially considering the color. Smooth texture and mildly bitter finish. Drinkable and tasty, but a bit light for a stout.

Draft at sheffields. Pours like a guiness and a ton of foamy head. Good coffee bean flavor. Seems light. Smooth. Somewhat nutty. Tasty stout

This was a special tapping on nitro at WF Chander from earlier this year. Nitro black pour with a creamy off white head, aroma has some roast, chocolate and coffee. Taste felt a little light, and with Ten Fidy out there this just doesn’t compare, but still not bad at all.
