Growler from Whiteys. Pours clear dark reddish brown with a bubbly, frothy beige head and lots of lacing. Smells like strong booze, sweet chocolate, and sweet vanilla, lightly roasted. Tastes like booze, dry cinnamon, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate.

Growler. Pours deep ruby/brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is heavy bourbon, bready malts, light vanilla, and light floral notes. Flavor is dry malts, woody notes, bourbon, light vanilla, some dark fruit esters, and faint hops; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Growler fill from Whiteys. Pours a dark amber with a thin ring of tan head. Aroma is nice, with booze and vanilla very present. Taste is bourbon upfront that fades into a more dark fruit.

Sampled at brewvival 2011. Hazy reddish pour with a ring of tan head. On cask, so it was a little thin. The nose was a bit weak. Sweet and smokey. Good, but overall, not horribly impressed. Meh.

cask at Brewvival on 2/26/11. pours a murky brown with no head. light bourbon nose with thin layers of vanilla. medium sweet body with more vanilla notes. smooth and soft throughout. sweet dry finish with bourbon, oak and dark fruits.
