3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wife’s draft at their Brevard Brewery served in a rocks glass; fairly clear golden color with white head. Aroma notes of banana, wheat malt sweetness, citrus and faint spice. Taste adds bread, coriander, clove, lemon, some pepper and light bitterness. Light body, moderate-low carbonation, crisp with sweet Belgian yeasty finish. Pretty straight forward wit with some character.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Crowler from the Tasty Weasel. This is unusually clear for a witbier. Head retention is great, expected for the style. The aroma is very straightforward Belgian wit territory: banana, lemon, wheat, coriander. My can says 8% abv. No way. The body is medium and this has dried out well. Good yeasty character gives banana, pepper, citrus and the beer is rounded out with notes of crackers, spicy hops and wheat. Guys, this is a really solid, well executed, by the book witbier. Not sure why this is below 50 percentile on this site.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Tap...pours a light yellow with a minimal white head. Not much aroma, but tastes strongly of banana/lemon and not much else. Body is super thin and watery and this stuff lacks any sort of complexity or depth of flavor...very close to a drain pour.
