Rating backlog, from Oct 2012. Didn’t take notes on color. Aroma had a toffee, fruity and earthy presence. Flavor was the same with a touch of sweetness. Good beer.

Tap at Tasty Weasel. Clear dark golden with a thin and foamy white head. Dank aroma with resinous floral and pine notes, with an underlying pale malt sweetness. Flavor was pretty hoppy with citric and pine resin bitterness, but all on a sort of pale ale body as the hoppiness was perfectly balanced with a pale malt body and gentle earthy sweetness. Didn’t taste all too "Scottish" to me.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Pours a near clear deep orange gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice line hop note with a nice bit of citrus backed by grain. Flavor has a nice balance of citrus and pine with a bit of sweet grains.

Tap, Nitro. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is fruity esters, herbal and spicy hops with biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, supporting sweet malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium to light body, medium carbonation.

On tap at Papago. Clear golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is light and grainy..taste is slighty bitter and malty. Nothing special, but pretty good. Extra points for the name.
