Nitro pour at mellow mushroom. Dark brown tan head. All roast and cocoa. I got nothing that told of raspberries, just a hint of tartness as it warmed. Creamy body.

Taster on tap at Lackman. Dark red / brown color... Nearly black. Good thin khaki head. Good lace. Fruity raspberry flavor, some chocolate in the nose. Pretty nice mix of dark chocolate, light coffee, moderate roast, and big raspberry. Medium body. Smooth, lighter, kind of soft carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Maybe a hint of black cherry in there. Good fruit beer... Satisfying mix of roast and chocolate malts. Maybe a light hint of tart from the natural fruit. Good stuff.

Draft to taster at Lackman. The bartender called it Raspberry Smidy Chub, but that wasn’t in the database, and Raspberry Smidy was merged with this entry. Looks good; a fairly transparent copper with foamy light beige head. Smells solid; raspberries and lightly toasted malt with some caramel too. Tastes like it smells with more of a raspberry presence. Solid on the palate. Fairly fruity, but enjoyably so.

Nitro at The Tasty Weasel. Black with a lasting creamy beige head. Aroma was kinda dirty raspberries with some earthy un-sweet chocolate. Not as fun as I had hoped. However, the flavor was nice and sweet with notes of bitter dark chocolate, faint sweet raspberry tones, a little fruity tartness, and a long finish of chocolate raspberries. Tastes waaay better than it smells.

On tap at Burnhearts. Very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of raspberry, dark roasted malt and some chocolate. Taste of raspberry, dark sweet malt, light chocolate with a raspberry aftertaste. A touch chalky but decent.

On draught at mellow mushroom. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma has some cocoa, coffee, and light raspberry. Taste is semi sweet with some roast bitterness. Dry and thinner bodied. Good, but I’d like more raspberry.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap as Raspberry Smidy Chub, which is a blend of Old Chub and Smidy with Raspberries from the brewery. Blended in the keg and distributed. The dark red pour is heavy on the Raspberry flavor without much stout or scotch ale. It is ok, but too sweet overall for my taste.

Growler. Dark brown pour with a small off white head. Nice fruity aroma full of raspberry, roast and a some cocoa. Flavors were chocolate covered raspberries, slightly roasty with a touch of vanilla sweetness. Light and airy mouthfeel, way drinkable. The fruit was a nice addition to this one. Tasty.
