4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Part of a special "barrel" week at The Beer Junction. $5.35 for a 4oz pour, listed as 10.8% ABV. Wow, did I love this beer! Opaque, black color with a dark, tan head. Aroma was roasty (borderline burnt smell), picked up on the alcohol and bourbon. Flavor was potent but balanced. It was thick, smooth and left a trail of very good lace. Iím actually struggling to describe it further, I think it left me semi-speechless. This was awesome and totally worth the price for a special treat!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler thanks to Brian. Pours a dark brown with no head. The aroma is strong bourbon, oak, wood, and dark fruits. Medium mouthfeel with strong booze, dark chocolate, light bitterness, really enjoyed this one.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Flying Saucer Sugar Land a couple days ago during an Oskar Blues Tap Takeover. Have been wanting to try this for quite some time. Was not disappointed! This has the same nose and taste as the regular Ten Fidy - chocolate, coffee and chocolate - while adding whiskey and wood. Fortunately, the whiskey adds to the complexity of this brew without overwhelming the base beer. A hi-quality brew here. Mouthfeel was thick and coating. Should have ordered a second glass as it was blown a little later that evening.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap, pours black with a brown hue with a thick tan head that leaves great lacing. Smells of oak bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt and caramel. Tastes of the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is thick, silky and creamy with good carbonation. The original Ten Fidy is great on itís own, ageing it in a whiskey barrel makes it even better. Probably one of the best barrel aged stouts Iíve had. Right up there with Bourbon County and The Abyss. Too bad itís only available on draft. I would love to see what some more age would do to it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crowler. Pitch black pour with small mocha head. Nose mainly of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and a little booze. Taste follows the nose with more coffee. Barrel is subtle but it is present. Good but doesnít knock your socks off.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at sb. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head. Big sweet chocolate and apricot nose. Very sugary. Sticky thick goopy body. Chocolate and apricot mid palate. Heavy and sweet but very nice. Long finish.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught > Common Table. Pretty f'ing good. Not too boozy. You can actually taste some of the beer flavors and not just whiskey. Pretty much like a roasty vanilla bean slightly boozy beer that is an easy drinker at almost 11%.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tap at Freshcraft. Black with great thin head. Roasted malt, choco and bourbon aroma. Smooth like velvet. Prefect balance and the bourbon last long into finish. I believe Iím aroused.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Freshcraft at room temperature (cooling system down). Black appearance with a brown head that dissipates some, then lingers and leaves light lacing. Big roasty, malty aroma with whiskey, vanilla, oak, caramel and chocolate. Similar flavor, rich and sweet with light bitterness, mostly hidden alcohol, notes of licorice and toffee with a sweet chocolate finish. Pretty full body with a slick, creamy, oily mouth feel and soft carbonation.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap @ Burgundian for their imperial fest. Pours inky black with thick creamy dark brown head. Aroma is super dark roasty malt, espresso, and sweet bourbon. Taste is just what youíd expect from ten fidy - big creamy roasty malt, rich chocolate and espresso notes, hops to keep everything in balance, AND... a big smooth bourbon punch at the end. With all the booze in here, hard to believe this still checks in at 9.4%... If you ever found yourself thinking, "all ten fidy needs is some barrel aging (as I did)", this is your beer. Still not quite as decadent as abyss, parabola, etc. but really damn good. Pretty cool that they can improve on such an excellent beer.
