Ten FIDY’s huge-but-comforting flavors hide a hefty 10.0% and 98IBU. This version is aged in whiskey barrels from Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey (Denver, CO) to create an even trippier extreme beer.

Courtesy of jblauvs- huge thanks! The pour is inky black with a small tan head. The nose holds roasty chocolate, oak, mild lactic notes, a hint of popcorn, and caramel. The flavor holds more caramel, cherries, toffee, a hint of butter, and roast. The palate is thick and oily with a chalky roasty finish. Don’t know quite what to think of this beer.

Inky Black Pour, Glugs out of the bottle. Aroma is woody, dusty chocolate with hints of vanilla, oak, and a hint of heat. Mouthfeel is considerably thinner than regular ten fidy, oily not as viscous. Lots of heat initially, Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, sweet boozy whiskey, cherry wood, loads of tobacco. Interesting to say the least, a little muddled and confusing, but relatively tasty

Big big thanks to jblauvs for this one. Pours a rich rich black with a brown head. Aroma holds some nice shaved milk chocolate, a touch of roast and ash, cherry, woody vanilla, and some caramel. Flavor is very interesting; more notes of chocolate, wood, and chocolate. The palate is surprisingly much thinner than regular Ten Fidy; not nearly as viscous. Good, but a little weird.

Still in the glass with no carbonation. Aroma is pure clean oak with slight mocha and underlying dry whiskey. Taste is light whiskey, roasted malt, touch of dark fruit sweetness, faded hops on the back end, and dry alcohol whisper. Completely different animal than the regular version and quite enjoyable.

Thanks to AZ via SpeedwayJim...Black pour, about three fingers of really nice tan head rises quickly and looks really nice at first, however it falls really quickly leaving no cap. Light lacing. Such promise to start, but to no avail...Unreal aroma, a wonderful sweet maple syrup dominates this, its as if maple syrup was dumped in it, light vanilla. Way on the sweet side, would love a little chocolate or coffee...The taste is not as successful, mostly because it just feels flat and light, needs to be full flavored. The maple syrup is gone, a little vanilla, alcohol...Easy to drink. This is a beer worth trying for real. Another great Oskar beer.

Big vanilla and whiskey aroma. Caramel, and Hershey’s syrup and fudge in the flavor. Actually a slightly lighter body than regular Ten Fidy. Not quite as sweet and syrupy as the original with a nice powdered cocoa in the finish.

growler pour. Pitch black with a light head. Great whiskey aroma and flavor. This one did real well in the barrels.
