Commercial Description:
Oskar Blues has released a special draft-only seasonal beer for the winter months. Ten FIDY Imperial stout is a titanic wonder of a stout, immensely viscous, and loaded with neck-deep flavors of chocolate, malt, coffee, cocoa and oats. It’s the beer equivalent of decadently rich milkshake made with Whoppers malted-milk balls and Heaven’s best chocolate ice cream. Ten FIDY is about 10% ABV and is made with enormous amounts of two-row malts, chocolate malts, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY’s huge-but-comforting flavors hide a whopping 98 IBUs that are deftly tucked underneath the beer’s mountains of malty goodness.

Also affectionately known as Ten W FIDY (i.e., 10W-50).

Editor's Note: The brewery has had the ABV tested at a lab, which came out to 9.4%.

Great top quality dark imperial stout. Pours jet black with a powerful malty aroma. Head is thin and streaks down the glass. Great smooth drinking brew. Quality.

Pours a rich black with a thick brown head. Aroma is cola, coffee, a little dried fruit. Flavor is roasted malt, velvety chocolate, cola, and coffee. Has a thick creamy mouthfeel. Very easy to drink for something so weighty.

Black pour with a small tan head. Very roasty aroma with some hints of milk chocolate, black coffee and dark fruit. The flavor has a great dark roast, bitter coffee and dark chocolate character with delicious background notes of fig and plum. The body is creamy, oily and full with moderate carbonation and a faint alcohol warming. It finishes remarkably light for such a big and makes it scarily easy to drink.

This impy definitely puts me in mind of Bells Expedition in its massive body and flavor. Tons of bitter chocolate, coffee, toffee, figs, dates, plums, roast, and a dash of smoke are beautifully set of in the finish by some mightily citric hops. The creaminess is off the scale, and the finish is nearly endless. This sure as hell ain’t no session ale, in fact its about as definite a sipper as I’ve ever tasted. Ten W Fidy is absolutely the best nickname for this flavorful beast!

(can from Queen Liquor in Colorado Springs). Black color. Small brown head. Aroma of alcohol and light coffee/chocolate. Flavor of chocolate/cocoa and roasted coffee. Long duration. Light alcohol finish. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Spare lacing.
