Oskar Blues Ten FIDY

Very straight forward imperial stout. Aroma doesn’t knock my socks off. More caramelly than the flavor and the alcohol is noticeable. Flavor gives tons of chocolate and coffee. Very rich and thick. Finish is incredible. One-dimensional, but damn, it’s good at what it does.

12oz Can, Aroma is of burnt caramel. Pours a scary motor-oil black with a brownish-red head that doesn’t stick around very long. Achohol presence is makes itself known, and the flavor has a bit of heat to it due to this. It’s big-bodied and has a slightly moderate hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy with a well-balanced amount of carbonation. Good, but I don’t think the flavor warrents the abundence of 4’s I see on the first page.

12 oz. can. Poured an intimidating opaque black with deep brown head. Solid lacing. Incredibly rich with creamy mouthfeel. Approaching milkshake thickness and loaded with mallts, chocolate, and coffee goodness. And I don’t even drink coffee. Just the slightest hint of warming alcohol. Probably the best, most drinkable imperial stout I’ve tried. That earns big points with me...I’m about ready to grow a beard and move to Colorado because of this beer.

Ohh my goodness!!! best freakin canned beer I ever had!1!!!! dark brown almost balck color thick brown head nose is super malty with some coffee and choc also a good dose of booze thrown in. flavor is dark malt, coffee and choc again and some nice dose of hops with again good balanced alcohol, freakin fantastic beer!!!

Excellent warm dark chocolate, espresso cream on the nose. Thick velvety body intertwines with rich cream and coffee house. A bear skin of cocao powder, flourless cake, and Italian coffee evelop from the gums to the lungs. You can actually breathe this beer. The hop bitterness is hiding in the coat of the roasted malt and serves as essential background. Only on the outskirts of a lingering finish does any real sense of earthy hop exhale. Well balanced. The CO2 level is perfect and the head retention holds it’s own without making a sound. Solid. One of the best Stouts I’ve had and the best of anything out of any can.

pitch black with beautiful tan head. nose of sweet roasted malt. flavor is tremendous with large contributions from chocolate and roasted malt. the most interesting aspect is the huge hop component that at times really is present in the bitterness which is remarkable for a 9.4% ABV. As good as a Russian Imperial gets. I’ve recently had Hitachino IS and Dieu de Ciel’s Peche Mortel and although it is difficult to compare it is maybe slightly better than Hitachino, but not quite as good as Peche Morter

Can pours pitch black with a darck mocha colored head. Aromas of sweeet roasted malts with hints of chocolate. Flavor is of malts, caramel, with a decent alcohol bite. Finishes with bitter chocolate. Big thick stout.

From a small can. Motor oil pour, One of the Darkest heads ive seen , very dark brown. subtle chocolatey, caramel. lots of roast. creamy mouthfeel, malty chocolate blast. alcohol is resonant in my mouth. Big Bold and ballsy, best tasting beer from a can ever.
