An Imperial Stout that comes in a can.
An Amazing Imperial Stout that comes in a can.
I am floored by:
(1) How good this beer is. Chocolate, coffee, deep roasted malts, licorice, smoke and chicory all show up in this fucking brilliant brew.
(2) That this beer is in a can. A CAN! PBR comes in a CAN! Bud Light comes in a CAN!

Snobbery 0 natejgood (189), Denver, Colorado, USA May 14, 2008 Wow, this beer pours dark with a dark head that appears after it hits the glass. It looks almost like motor oil. It has an aroma of molasses, malt, and roast coffee. The beer tastes bitter at first, but finishes with a smooth almost sweet malty coffee flavor. It is almost creamy in the mouth with very little carbonation. This is a solid beer, especially one that comes in a can. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA May 13, 2008 12 oz. can, from Dean at SDBrewCo. Pours pitch black, thick and viscous with a cream dark tan head. Aroma of coffee, bleack currant, licorice, dark chocolate, roasty with prune and herbal notes and some hoppiness that emerges as it warms. Flavor is bitter dark chocolate syrup, roasty, roasty malts, alcohol is well masked, black berry and a bit of pineyness. Thick, rich, silky smooth body with very gentle carbonation. Great beer! scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA May 12, 2008 Imperial Stout out of a can? Interesting. pours literally, not figuratively like motor oil. Has the viscosity of syrup. Black as coal with a dark tan head that reduces to a foaming of bubbles. Smell is dark chocolate, roasted malts, chocolate shake and cocoa powder. Has the consistency of a warm milk shake or whole milk. intensely espresso, coffee, with a good malt backbone and maybe some dark chocolate. A very attainable RIS, that has both awesome taste and a totally kick ass appearance. Imperial-John (154), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada May 12, 2008 Black with thick dark espresso head that thins to nothing. Intense roasted dark chocolate alcohol espresso aroma. Like drinking an intense bitter roasted bittersweet chocolate espresso alcohol milkshake. Intense bittersweet after-taste leaves you longing for the next sip but almost too bitter. Makes you want to drink a tonne of water afterwards as all moisture in your mouth evaporates away. When I saw the can for the first time, I thought you have to be kidding, looks like a soda pop can, after my first sip I knew they weren’t kidding, wow, this is up there with the big boys. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 12, 2008 Motor oil consistency, a thick black body with a brown head. Chocolate, oats, some coffee accents in the aroma. Taste is similar, with a nice dark chocolate bitterness. Smooth in the mouth, great ending. ksurkin (356), Norfolk, Virginia, USA May 12, 2008 12oz can! pours a thick, syrupy, jet black with a 1in. dark brown head that sticks nicely to the glass. aroma is stellar with chocolate, roasted coffee, sweet oatmeal, and a little bit of caramel. flavor is outstanding (can’t believe this comes from a can). starts off with hints of hops, dark chocolate, and slowly turns to bitter coffee, more oats and a bit of warmth. nicely complex with a great lasting finish. mouthfeel was extremely smooth. highly drinkable for such a thick imp stout. one of the best out there. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 can. Dark aromas, tar, huge roasty nose with sweet vanilla. Pours black with a thin tan head. Dark malt flavors, licoricce, roasted coffee, dark chocolate with hints of vanilla. A very smooth imp stout!
