I have to say that when I opened this, I couldn’t help to at least drink a little out of the can. What a delightful stout this is. Slightly sweet, very bitter and very very rich.

I had an interesting effect when pouring this beer -- itís very thick and viscous with a thin, effervescent head that fizzes away quickly. At the end of my pour, a few tiny drops of beer came out of the can and settled as perfectly-round, miniature droplets on the head for a few seconds before falling into the rest of the liquid. I donít know what kind of demon physics caused this; this has never happened with any other drink Iíve ever had. Anyway, itís opaque black in the glass. Subtle aroma -- mostly molasses, a little chocolate. Taste is dark fruit, cocoa powder, coffee, licorice, molasses, a nice hops tang like candied fruit peel. Very rich and viscous, hint of carbonation cuts through. Very nice.

Poured from tap. Not much for aroma. Pours black with dark brown head. Great flavor, bold. Bitter chocolate with a bite. Finished bitter on the palate.

Deep dark color. Very smokey taste with plenty of caramel and toffee in the finish.

The look of this beer is fantastic. Ten FIDDY (10/50) is the perfect name. It looks like motor oil being poured into your glass. At over 10% ABV, this stout has a really big mouth feel. It doesn't come off overly alcoholy. It's a wonderful Imperial Stout. Highly recommend this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. First off the color is just epic black as night. Sweet, chocolatey aroma. Taste is just delicious. Roasty, sweet, and chocolate. NO alcohol taste and for 10.5% my hats off to them. Just really really awesome tasting. In my opinion the best imperial stout out there. Plus the name of the beer is awesome.

Poured from a 12oz can dated 01/03/2014. Aroma has a nice roast character with a balanced dark chocolate note. Some light leather and tobacco complimenting the roast. Some light dark fruit notes of cherries, prunes and plums. Faint alcohol notes. Pours black with a medium sized, moderately thick, dark mocha head that exhibits pretty good retention as it slowly recedes to the edges and lingers a bit on the edges. Flavor has some light sweetness with quite a bit of roast character and some complimentary dark chocolate. Medium light tobacco and leather notes. Light dark fruit notes of prunes, plums and berries. Some faint soy sauce oxidation. Moderate bitterness with some light alcohol notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium full to full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice imperial stout and definitely the best one that I have had out of a can. Nice roast character with some decent chocolate notes; a bit more roast than I prefer in my imperial stouts.

8/2013 Vintage. Pours jet black with a dark brown head. Aroma is of chocolate and coffee. Very thick on the palate but very creamy chocolate going down. The alcohol at this point has subsided and is just really smooth. However when its fresh this beer is still amazing.

Draught at BrewDog Clapham Junctionís opening night; 13 August. Poured a thick black, with a dense tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, rich malt and liquorice. Mouthfeel was syrupy. Complex flavours of molasses, port and dates. Finish was earthy, with some grain, red wine and straw.

Experiment here, this is canned 09-21-11 (also says CHARLIE MURPHY!) and drank 8-26-14 so almost 3yrs old. A 10/5% imperial stout should normally age quite well and mellow out depending on the hop characteristics in the beer lets see. 12oz can pours a dark black in glass with foamy brown head quick to dissipate. Still smells pretty alcoholy, roasted malts, somehow reminds me of french fries, from McDonaldís. Heavy bodied with light carbonation that is noticeably still there. This drinks amazingly well at 10.5% after 3 yrs. Malty chocolate taste is about all there is, no alcohol burn whatsoever. At the finish I could see how this might pack an alcoholy punch. But this one taste great well recommended.
