4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Like oil for your car, this is beer for your body. It just so happens that both are of a similar color and consistency. This is a great stout and one of my new favorites. If you can find it, get it. Don't be afraid of the can because this can is your friend.

From tap at ØST with JMD 11.06.16. Almost ebony. Brown head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, juniper and a hint of herbs. Quite dry, but still with a touch of dark toffee.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Kremet munnfylde.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Motor oil. Heavy roasted aromas, roasted malt, roasted coffee, chocoalte, vanilla. Heavy bitter and roasted flavors, coffee and chocolate. A bit on the boozy side finish-wise. Best beer I’ve tried from a can.

Poured into snifter. Motor oil black with little to no head. Dark coffee and semi bitter dark chocolate and cocoa aroma. Flavor was rich and heavy. Bitter espresso, dry aged dark chocolate, toffee. Super smooth. Hidden alcohol under layers of flavor. Excellent brew.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can. Nose is malt, caramel, honey, vanilla, chocoalte, coffee, hint of licorice, dark cherry, lots of wood as it opens up. Taste malt, cherry, lots of dark chocolate, emerging black coffee, vanilla, hints licorice, cherry, dark fruits, plum, gently developing smoke and wood and the faintest hint of soy and salt and there is a lifting medicinal note from the hops. Mouthfeel is rich and there is a powerful and lasting finish.
An outstanding Imperial Stout that uses the hops with the wood to lift the rich beer and prevent it being cloying.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a coca cola type head. Stewed prunes and ripe red fruits is the aroma. Loads of roasted malts, earth, cigars and smoke is balanced out with a nice bitterness and a really smooth palate.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
10.5%ABV. Imperial Stout.
Poured out oily black. 40°SRM.
Nose is redolent of hickory and cherry wood smoke. Aromas of honey prunes, dates, honeyed figs and raisins.
Mouthfeel is oily and syrupy. Palate has charred grains, some toasted rye bread, black bread. Flavors of wood smoke with a slight umami, suggestive of a thin sliver of gravlax. Nice oak and wood in the finish. Alcoholic heat at the back of the throat lingers.
Overall impression: a prodigiously provisioned, a pleasingly complicated palate with a hint of bellicosity.
Goes on Favorites List !
It’s actually spelt CONCUPISCENT which means full of lust.
