Can into pint (from my notes): Pours like motor oil, head slowly emerges; interesting sliding racing/lacing. Smells like creamy, buttery, roasty chocolate, with other caramelly malts in there, and occassionally a fruity smell that reminds me of raspberries. Full and smooth in the mouth like Bells Expedition, and tastes like it at first but . . . then the hops and roastiness kick in on the end, and wow; they’re amazing. Full, kick-your-ass flavor -- this is the hoppiest stout I can remember tasting. I don’t even know how it tastes like this with the high gravity and creamy mouthfill, the amount of hops they must have used. The finish totally eliminates the saliva in my mouth in dry and bitter goodness. Overall, while the wallop of this beer is impressive, it got taxing to finish it. A good can of beer to share with friends, because you could use the help.

can @ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Opaque brown/black with a 1/2" brown head, screens of lace. Taste is chocolate caramel and toasty malt that melts into the palate, adding coffee and biscuit before solid hops ease their way through for an outstanding, very long, finish. An exceptional big brew that hides the alcohol very well. Great for sipping in front of the fire.

Black brew with brown head that fades fast. Smells like a dark chocolate bar so right off I want to tear into this one. Taste is heavy chocolate with a mild alcohol and a bit of coffee. Damn this is good stuff and here I was skeptical about all the good reviews. OK so I have a new favorite imperial stout but I have to dock overall points due to price tag and the fact that it comes in a CAN.

355ml can dated 9/16/13. Pours black with a half finger, tan head. Aroma had big notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, and hints of coffee and a nuttyness. Taste is balanced. Roasty malts, bitter chocolate, coffee, nuts, caramel, and toffee. Full body with a medium carbonation. Creamy but clean I?m the mouth. Overall very nice. Dark chocolate, coffee, nutty, caramel. Tasty.

Aroma is sweet, candy but roasted malt. Appearance is black, light brown head. Taste is same as the smell, this strange mix of candy sweetness and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is ridiculously thick, oily, flavor hangs. Overall, wow, very very nice stuff.

Can to glass. Pours a deep black color with a creamy medium brown head. Aroma is a nice roasted malts, light chocolate character, oats. Flavor has a big oat character, roasted malts, touch of chocolatey sweetness. Long lingering roasted malts and oat character in the finish. Overall a very tasty imperial stout.

Pour is a black motor oil out of the can. A small tan head forms with the aroma of an intense roasted malt with caramel and chocolate. Flavor is more of a rich chocolate with a heavy roasted malt mouthfeel but some hops are present as well. After 2k ratings there is not much more to say. a super thick an enjoyable beer.

Pours a deep black with sizeable brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, caramel, chocolate, grass & light hop. Flavor is very sweet, light booze, chocolate & faint licorice. Bitter lightly hopped chocolate lingers
