4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2011 Can. The pour was a deep dark muddy black with a very thin (less than 1 finger) medium brown creamy head that was fully diminishing and had excellent lacing.
The aroma was of burnt cereal malts and a leathery doughy yeast with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses and also had a mild alcohol scent.
It tasted sweetly bitter with a moderate note of coffee at first and finished with a nice smooth bitter chocolate coffee flavor and had a slight alcohol tinge at the end. The flavor stayed with you for a nice long while after the swallow allowing one to enjoy a nice coffee mocha ending.
Mouthfeel was quite full in body and very creamy in texture with basically a flat carbonation.
Overall a GREAT Imperial stout, with lots of flavor and hardly any notice to the high alcohol content.

I will be cozying up to Ten Fidy all winter with its "’blanket of malt". Pours and settles in the glass an immense motor oil black. The head is a huge chooclate malt milkshake perched on a throne of malt formula one. The aromas are caramel, and fudge. On the tasting, the pallete becomes vexed with sensual smooth chewy body of caramel, baking chocolate, fudge, and bold coffee. Warming alcohol puts you right to bed.

Pours a dark brown to black with a medium head of creamy light brown foam. Medium thick body with plenty of lacing. Nice roasted malt aroma. Smooth creamy texture with a full mouth feel. Roasted malt flavor with a hint of dark chocolate. Hides the alcohol well. Smooth finish with just a touch of bitterness. OK but not great. Enjoyable but not the best.

Multiple 12 oz cans over the last few years. Surprised I have never taken the time to rate. Aroma of burnt sugar and toasted malt. Flavours are toasted malt, molassses, chocolate, and maybe black licorice. Very well balanced and always enjoyable.

From a 355ml bottle on 16/9/2016. Pours black with a big thick tan head. Has a slightly unusual aroma of chocolate malt, with some strong basement notes. Taste wise, it’s huge and gorgeous - masses of sweet chocolate and caramel, some nuts and a hint of licorice, a substantial roasty and hoppy bitterness, finished off by some warming alcohol. The texture is creamy and viscous with moderate carbonation. Exhibits great length and complexity. An outstanding impy, let down only by a slightly unusual and subdued nose.

"Yeah!! I finally found some of this stuff. Pretty standard imperial stout look jet black with a thin dark cap, some lace left behind. Aroma was a little unusual hints of olives? and roasted nuts. Mouthfeel was nice and thick, good coating. Flavor similar to aroma slightly sweet, a little nuttiness, alcohol is definetly present. Overall its pretty good but not an upper tier imperial stout. Re-review 11-3-2012 on tap: I like this more and more and tonight found it on tap. Absolutely wonderfull, rich, roasted, toasted goodness, thick lace, alcohol is hidden pretty well. Lets bump this from a 3.7 to a 4.2. Originally rated on 11/18/08

Lots of chocolate and caramel. Very thick and sweet. One to be sipped alongside a glass of water. Not too boozy. Very impressive for and imperial stout.

Bardzo klasyczny imperialny stout. Palony czekoladowy, kawowy, słodki i lekko gorzki.

Haut taux d?alcool imperceptible. À la hauteur de mes attentes.

This is a big, meaty impy stout. Pours like oil from the can, with a dark brown head. Thick and sticky, loads of burnt caramel, roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate. Intense and delcious.
