(6/27/08) Draught at Vinarna Hrozen in Plzen. Amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, some berries hints and a bit of caramel. Sweetish flavor, quite malty, with a lightly drier finish and hints of metal. Medium-bodied.

(Draught at U Věstonického Venouše, Prague, 21 July 2008) Pale amber colour, cloudy, with a frothy, white head. Malty, yeasty, citric nose with notes of hay and lemon. Malty, yeasty taste with toffee, caramel, hay and a grassy, bitter finish. Slightly citric (or acidic), starts sweet and turnes drier towards the finish. Rather complex. Nice, but kind of strange.

Draught at RBESG. Clear amber - wvite head. Sweetness, dark bread, brown sugar, red berries, soapy, caramel, grainy.

From tap @ Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. Semi clear and amber coloured with a medium sized head. Quite well balanced with notes of malt, caramel, bread and grain.

Draft at Vinarna Hrozen during RBESG 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thick orangey head. THe aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Light amber with a small white head. Ar0oma has some butterscotch, pilsner malt sulphur and a little caramel. Flavour begins sweet, but has a good bitter hop attack.

Pours amber with a small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, good caramel notes. Rather thin mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lightly metallic, some light hoppy dryness and a fair dose of caramel.

From tap at Hrozen. Pours clear and golden amber with a lacing white head. Aroma is mild roasted malt, light metallic and mild fruity. Flavour is light fruity and with a subdued metallic note. Slowly building bitterness into the finish.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. No.9 on tasting list. Brown amber with white head. Sweet, malty beer, a little tinny with a cardboard note. Bready, yeasty finish.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen Clear amber, thin beige head. Some actual decent malt on aroma. Cereal and some toffee in mouth. Then ther is a building hoppiness on finish that almost burns the tongue. The most malty of the beers so far. That hint of aluminium I’ve detected on some of these beers and then this buidling hop.
