Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Cloudy yellow, brief lively head. Bready banana aroma. Sweet and fairly estery. Soemwhat clean and hard malt profile, resulting in a short finish.

Pale yellow. Classic spicy aroma, lightly fruity. Reasonable flavor, a residual sweetness, the spiciness is balanced by a light fruitness; flowery.

yngwie (14008) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. Served too hot. Pale yellow-golden and a small, white head. Weak aroma with banana and some cloves. Sweet flavor with banana and grainy notes. Creamy, carbonated mouthfeel, but a bit thin and sticky. The finish has some lemony notes, as well as banana and spices. Not worth returning for. (060827)

330ml on tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow and a surprisingly clear body for the style. Small head. Sweet aroma of cloves and banana. Light flavour of coriander and ending with a sourish touch. Crisply, watery and lively carbonated (Oslo, 22.08.2006).

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2009 Draught, Oslo Mikrobryggeri. Bow-shaped trumpet with a collapsing head and lace dabs. Peach mistiness, not fully hazy. Authentic ripe estery aroma with banana, pepper, Hubba Bubba. Toffee apple and banana fizz, thinnish sherbety condition, clovey spice. ’Bananas galore’ chipped in Dirtman. No pithy US hops in sight, and it’s something of a relief. Clean, tanging and authentic, just lacking a bit of body. The pick of the beers sampled at the brewtap.

larsga (6309) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2006
Medium lasting creamy white head over pale yellow faintly hazy body with ongoing carbonation. Soft, spicy banana aroma. Sweetish watery banana wheat taste with fuzzy mouthfeel. Some acidity. Faintly metallic aftertaste. A decent weizen, but a bit too watery. (On tap.)

On tap at the brewpub. Fine bread-like aroma. Mild taste, dominated by the citrus in the finish. A bit on the thin and watery side, I would ahve liked more substance. I question the name and category - this was too filtered to be called a hefe IMHO.

Rastacouere (6137) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 1, 2007
Light white head slowly departs from the rather dark, golden to amber pour. Warming fruity nose, playing more in the ester than phenol ballpark with citrusy lime/lemon flavors backed by solid banana puree and a firm dose of supporting hops. The mixture works pretty well to make a very fresh impression. Medium bodied, expansive, yet easy-going carbonation. A very satisfying first half-pint at this favorite Norwegian brewpub of mine.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy and hazy straw colored with a small white head. Hefeweizen aroma, banana and cloves, and yes also some yeasty notes. Taste is moderate yeasty notes, with a pleasant citrus aftertaste.
