On Tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri, Oslo. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, floral notes, yoghurt, some caramel, a bit fruity. Taste is well balanced, mild mouth feel. A nice beer I’d like to drink more of.

Tåkete gylden brun med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter gjær, noe trevirke, melkesjokolade og lett karamell. Lett bitter og noe brent karamellsødme. Middels lang.

Copper color with a big yellow head, no lacing. Aroma hay and undefined dried fruit. Taste very dry malt, cardboard and woody. Long bitterness in the aftertaste, bitter without beeing hoppy. Far of a California common.

25cl on tap@Oslo Mikrobryggeri@approx 10 degrees C. Pours a nice clear copper colour with a small white head with somewhat low retention.Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a little hop to add freshness. Again taste of roasted malt, caramel and hops with a little bitterness nicely contrasting the sweet elements also lingering in the aftertaste. A decent Steamer.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and lots of butterscotch. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel and butterscotch finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft

On tap at the brewpub. Clear copper colored body with an off-white head. Buttery tropical fruit reduction on the nose. Grassy, wooden, earthy, ashy with fruity tones and a lasting bitterness carrying most of the aromas. Medium bodied.

This is an underwhelming beer. There is some sort of infection, somewhat buttery and oxidized. Smooth mouthfeel is the high point.

Tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri, november 20th 2012. An old favorite of mine years ago, this brew is no longer as exciting. Not due to changes in the beer i suppose, more probably the explosion of quality micro brews recent years and my palate changing. Still not a bad steamer though. It’s got a clear copper body with a good white head. Light fruity hop aroma with hints of chocolate, and crisp malt. Taste of cara malt, hops, lightly roasted. Dry palate, marked but not strong bitterness, and a aftertaste of hay and caramel. I still like it, even if it’s kind of boring in todays beer scene compared to how it used to be.
