Pours a typical porter, stout black with a small tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, and coffee in the back. Taste is coffee first followed up by vanilla. I was drinking this on tap a few months ago and thought it was better than what I’m getting out of the bottle, more balanced. Overall a good porter but not a great porter.

Pour out of bottle, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big cocoa, roast, coffee into a bit of espresso bean, lots of vanilla, hints of spice into some more sweet molasses. Taste was a mix of molasses, dark chocolate, vanilla into a bit of espresso, coffee, finishing fairly roasted, slightly sweet. Very tasty.

the long and the short of it is, if i could fit my dick in the neck of this bottle, i would have sex with this beer. it is exactly what i needed. rich roast notes with a strong coffee flavor throughout. the vanilla works well with the cocoa flavors. mouthfeel is thick enough to support all of this. great roasty bitterness. sweetness lingers throughout. sure, the coffee dominates, but if you didn’t expect that, then you are an illiterate asshole that deserves to get something you don’t want. chocolate cream filling flavor lingers with the strong coffee notes.

Not particularly balanced, but this one sided dessert beer is pretty tasty. Its a chocolate and coffee bomb, dark and rich with a slick mouthfeel.

From a bottle. Dark thin pour with a small amount of carbonation. Almost no head. Sweet coffee aroma. Slightly flat, but tastes pretty good. Deep smooth chocolate taste with a big coffee flavor. Definitely an interesting type of coffe. Would love to try it on tap.

Snifter, tap at Oso. Really nice chocolate coffee aroma. Sweet coffee chocolate vanilla flavors. Sweet, but not overbearing in the body, still has some nice oily Porter tones. The coffee is quite pronounced. Quality offering. A touch sweetish, extract. Enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Roast malt, coffee and dark chocolate in the nose. Medium to full-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and vanilla. The finish is sweet with a vanilla mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Dark pour with off white head. Smells like a porter with a lot of coffee. A little thin with a lot of coffee flavor.

The thin mouth feel is excusable considering it is a coffee imbued porter but the fakeness of the java character and the very noticeable medicinal tones are not. It also confirms my overall dislike for vanilla imbued beers as well.

Bottle picked up in Madison last weekend. Dark brown pour, certainly on the thinner side. Nice tan head. Really awesome nose on this: Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with a big vanilla nose. Light on the mouthfeel with coffee notes and vanilla - slight astringency on the backend.
