This American IPA is brewed with nothing but base malt and the highest alpha acid hops available. Special release, pilot batch brewed in early summer, and served on tap at the brewery in July 2010.

Pours a cark, cloudy copper, with almost no head. Pronounced hop aroma. Flavor is primarily bitter, piney hops, with a light malt sweetness to somewhat balance things out. Resinous and with a very bitter finish. Not a bad IPA.

A well-designed IBU delivery vehicle - a mildly sweet, clean malt base braces the palate, but after that its all bitterness and peppery and citric hops - despite the high hop acids, it manages to not be abrasive - sadly, there is a bit of cheesy hop flavor that detracts from the other pleasant characteristics - still a solid ipa.

Pours a dark straw like color with thin white head that quickly disappears. Aromas of a bitter bowl of fruit with flavors of grapefruit and lemon.

On nitro at Uber Tap Room. Holds a big, airy head youd expect on nitro. Drinks with a sweet, earthy and spicy character. I dont think the nitro creaminess accentuates the right aspects at all. It gives it an almost yellow cheese aspect, maybe good for a cheese-oriented tap room, but the sharp finish is a definite downer. (#5163, 7/6/2013)

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a half finger of white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is heavily bitter. Pine resin with grapefruit and citrus. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, awesome. This could be an everyday drinker for me.

It was a brutally hot day and I was offered this self proclaimed "obnoxious deranged intense" bottle and I thought "it's just too hot for a intense IPA".But what a great beer! Malty on the tongue at first followed by that hoppy middle taste and a smooth finish of hops. It was a nice IPA and not as extreme as advertised ---Rated via Beer Buddy

A nice IPA. Amber gold color, ample white head. Pronounced hop aroma. A nice balance between hops and malt. The hops arent over the top, but quite pleasing.

Excellent IPA. Big IBU yet tangy, very drinkable stuff well crafted. A generous amount of lasting head.. A little cloudy golden. Mango, grapefruit, resiny. Bottle from 20 West Wine and Spirits.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold with white head tha diminshes quickly. Great lacing. Tons of hops in the nose. Super bitter and resiny in the taste with some pine. Holy alpha acids! Very good.

(bottle) Pours a clear gold color with a very thin white head. Nose holds a lot of fruity smells such as honeydew melon, strawberry, peach, orange, and pineapple. Flavor holds some canned mandarin orange, clementine, strawberry, and grapefruit that overrides a subtle malt sweetness. This sweetness quickly falls off in the finish as an overwhelming bitterness lives up to the beers namesake, and it gets to be too much for my liking as it takes on a medicinal note. Mouthfeel is medium and the carb is dialed in. Overall this is a decent beer. I really enjoyed the aroma, but did not particularly care for the whoopin that the hops put on my tastebuds in the finish.
