(Bottle, 0.355 l - importer reports the BBE date to be 31/10/2016, from Alko, 20160122) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, grass and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine. fruitiness, grass, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A good hoppy brew but nothing exceptional.

355 ml bottle from Alko

BBE 31/10/16 (importers label) - Pours clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of cardboard, aged hops, grass, citrus, pine, hints of earthiness and caramel. Taste is earthy, hoppy and sweetish with some citrus, pine, resin and caramel. Finish is slightly cardboardy and grassy with some pine, resin and citrus. Decent, but not very fresh.

Bottle from Alko. Pours hazy grayish orange with a strong orange-tinged head. Nose of grapes, citrus and caramel. Oh boy what a nice amount of grapes! Malty body with licorice, some alcohol and the some caramel. Bitter but not as sweet as nose might have hinted. Crisp carbonation with a sticky body. The nose had me expecting a much better experience.

On kyllä hyvistä hyvin IPA. Jukan luona shakkia ja Colinin rallia. Paras IPA mitä olen juonut.

Rated ma 04.01.2016.

tap@gallows. Yellow light hazy. Citrussy nose, some hayish, green tart berries on nose, farmy/saisonny feel. Med bodied, crisp, bitter, slight tart even. Golden malty, dry honey, citrus, some tropical yellows. Feels rather belgy ipa. Apparantly not intended as such, guessing the keg hasnt had an easy trip. The finish is pretty harsh actually.

Bottle from Bottlecraft, Hanley. Pours golden with white head. I expected this to be overly bitter but it’s really well balanced. Well hopped easy drinking strong pale ale. Refreshing.

Bottle split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Golden orange with a decent egg shell white covering. Nose is faint plastic, apricot, orange pith, toasted malt, straw. Taste comprises tangerine, sweet licks, orange pith, light bread dough, trace of spice, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok but a little pedestrian for the style.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours clear golden with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, floral, green, grassy, herbal, lemon verbena and lime. The taste is crisp, bitter, spicy, grassy, floral, herbal, dirt, green hops, green tea and mild acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty novel and enjoyable.
