3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light honey color with a creamy head. Smells floral with a bit of grapefruit mixed in. Very resinous with an intense, bitter hoppiness at the finish. Very boozy seeming. Flavors of chamomile, grass, lemon, pine, and honey. Not bad, but could use a bit more malt to match the aggressive hops.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle sent by skyview. Pours a rich slightly hazed golden with respectable off white head that leaves some nice lacing. Upon pour, the hops hit my nose and I am liking what I am smelling. Slightly fruity with hints of pine. After I get it into my glass, it becomes a bit more subdued. This is really mellow, but balanced with just enough sweet citrus pine. The malt only shows enough to add a small slightly sweet body to it. Very balanced for sure. Just enough body, tight carb that just gives enough feel to make the hop bittering show in the finish and lingers just a touch on the palate. Not sure how old this is either, but isn’t showing any sign of ’dead hops’ either. Solid and could drink a couple of these easily.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro pour - Clear light amber with a creamy white head. Citrus hops on the nose, with light pale cracker malt, citrus rind, and a touch of pine. Taste is really clean, pale malt, light with lots of pine/grass/dank hops. Has a bit of the garlic/onion/dank hop finish that I’ve found in Zombie Dust or New Glarus’s IIPA. Creamy nitro bubbles fill the body in the mouth, fluffing it up and making it nice and creamy. Pretty good stuff, even if a little in-your-face for my tastes (though with a name like Hop Whoopin’, what did I expect?).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Poured medium golden with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up grapefruit and grassy hoppage over a fairly nondescript pale malt base.. transitioned to tropical fruits as it warmed up.. good stuff. The flavor found bitter pine resin and peppery notes over pale and lesser bready malts.. more bitter on the back-end, a tad muddled back there, but still tasty. Medium-bodied, very bitter and spicy on the palate.. just a touch abrasive for my liking, but there was good stuff in there.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a gold color with a thin quickly-fading white head and no lacing. Aroma is very citric, pineapple. Taste has good citric hops but very little bitterness.......surprisingly. Smells a lot like Hopslam but lacks the bitterness and complexity of Hopslam, Double Trouble, etc.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at The Old Fashioned, Madison. Yellow orange with a thick creamy white head (I guess this was on nitro for some reason). Some herbal and pine notes in the aroma with a good amount of pale malt. Medium thick creamy body. Sweet malt flavors, really too sweet, kinda syruppy. Bitter pine that doesn’t really balance well and alcohol in the finish. Eh, just seems like a messy ipa. Lots of hops, malt, and alcohol, but there’s no semblance of cohesion to it all.

Nitro tap at Craftman Table & Tap. Hazy gold with orange highlights. Creamy, soft white head. Tons of lacing. Nose is bright citrus, good toffee undertones. Orange peel, slight pine, sticky mouthfeel. Bittersweet caramel finish. Pretty good.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a golden yellow, very clear, with a bit of a head. Aroma is all hop juice. Pine and floral. Lovely. Taste has that sticky hop flavor with some sweetness and a bit of a vegetal taste. Somewhat syrupy. Very bitter, but not in a citrusy way. Finishes shorter than expected. Quite a powerful aroma that would have been a terrific double ipa if followed all the way through.
