3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro pour - Clear light amber with a creamy white head. Citrus hops on the nose, with light pale cracker malt, citrus rind, and a touch of pine. Taste is really clean, pale malt, light with lots of pine/grass/dank hops. Has a bit of the garlic/onion/dank hop finish that I’ve found in Zombie Dust or New Glarus’s IIPA. Creamy nitro bubbles fill the body in the mouth, fluffing it up and making it nice and creamy. Pretty good stuff, even if a little in-your-face for my tastes (though with a name like Hop Whoopin’, what did I expect?).

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a half finger of white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is heavily bitter. Pine resin with grapefruit and citrus. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, awesome. This could be an everyday drinker for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and shaker served with a lightly hazed, golden hue, a modest amount of white head foam, and etched-like rings of lacing that clung to the glass. The aroma presented pleasant, expressive grapefruit, a touch of sweetness, and just a hint of resiny cattiness. The flavor was the aroma notes plus smooth malt, medium hop bitterness that lingered nicely, and was somewhat earthy and rind-like. The body was medium, and the finish matched the bitterness with a successful dryness. A well balanced, crisp, no frills IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Tap] Tried on nitro at the taproom back in March. Bright amber/orange pour with a typical dense nitro head. Nice citrus and pine aroma. Clean taste is of dank hoppiness and sweet breads. Oddly creamy, but I think that is from the nitro more than anything. Strong pine sap bitterness to close it out. Dry and mildly alcoholic finish. Tasty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Old Fashioned in Madison, pours a hazy dark golden/orange with a nice thick white head and sticky lacing through out the entire glass, aroma has a huge kick of citrus and tropical fruit with a nice backing of hops, the flavor is a great mixture of hops with mango and other tropical fruits, the mouthfeel is almost of an imperial IPA and it feels like a "big" beer. I was actually very happy with this brew, worth it alone to drive to Old Fashioned and get this fresh.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at The Old Fashioned, Madison. Yellow orange with a thick creamy white head (I guess this was on nitro for some reason). Some herbal and pine notes in the aroma with a good amount of pale malt. Medium thick creamy body. Sweet malt flavors, really too sweet, kinda syruppy. Bitter pine that doesn’t really balance well and alcohol in the finish. Eh, just seems like a messy ipa. Lots of hops, malt, and alcohol, but there’s no semblance of cohesion to it all.

Not sure if mine was bad or not, but it had a weird meat taste... Might have to try it again.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler from Historic Casanova. Pour is clear amber with a frothy white head that leaves a thin film and collar. Aroma is pine and grapefruit rind with some grass and flowers. Taste is clean bitter pine hops and grapefruit zest with a resiness and malty backbone. Palate is medium sticky and chaulky which finishes dry. Great IPA!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy pale yellow with foamy white head / Bright nose of lemon, other citrus, cut pine, and weed / Medium body, a hint thin, chewy, good biting hops with some sweetness and bitter finish / Flavors of cut pine, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, resin, and candied sugar / Just a mild body flaw, but otherwise excellent.
