4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled on draught during GTMW 2010 Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy golden amber colored brew with a thick and rocky off-whtie head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of mostly citrus hops. No doubt thereís more than the 3 Cís of hops in this powerful IPA with a hint of tangerine and a light caramel malt base beer. Taste has a citrusy bitterness to the níth degree. Flavors close to a double IPA without the alcohol bite as detected in most imperial IPAs. Finish has more citrusy bitterness than their Lupulin Maximus IPA, and without a barleywine profile. One of the highest IBU, West Coast caliber IPAs of the festival. My tongue was IPA shocked for at least 15 minutes which gave me an excuse to take a time-out and visit the Baumgartners food stand for Limburger cheese & red onion on rye. Another excellent offering from Oso!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle from jmagnus off my charity box win from his generosity. Poured an uglier lightly muddied apple cider amber body with a smaller frothy white head. Aroma of green apple skins, wet bread, older resiny hop cones, rotting citrus. Medium to slightly thicker bodied with average carboantion and a lingering flavor on the aftertaste. Flavor of breads, caramel, rotting citrus meat, older hop cones, touch of cardboard for some reason and a hint of tea. Decent overall but not blown away. Still big thanks to Josh for the hookup on this one.

Rated ma 04.01.2016.
tap@gallows. Yellow light hazy. Citrussy nose, some hayish, green tart berries on nose, farmy/saisonny feel. Med bodied, crisp, bitter, slight tart even. Golden malty, dry honey, citrus, some tropical yellows. Feels rather belgy ipa. Apparantly not intended as such, guessing the keg hasnt had an easy trip. The finish is pretty harsh actually.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle courtesy of GhostFace. Cheers, Neal! Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a nice bit of caramel, orange, apricot, and mild pine notes. Flavor is similar- orange and apricot with pine and light alcohol on the back end. Light to medium in body with lingering pine. Nice iipa overall.

Bottle. The look is clear, deep golden, and thin whitish head. The smell is a musty hops, grass, malts, caramel, and floral. The taste is grassy, hops, bitterness, hops, and good.

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI (July 2016), served a bit above fridge temperature from a Fitgerís pint glass. Pours very pale gold, lightly hazy and faintly oily, with an enormous head of meringue that takes forever to dissipate and leaves fine lace all the way down...citrus - grapefruit and tangerine - dominates a strong nose that also hints at honey and cedar...flavor is lusciously sweet and syrupy at the front - but the sugariness of real fruit, very fresh - and becomes sharper and sharper towards a fairly stinging finish...this has got to have one of the best mouthfeels of any IPA or APA Iíve had recently, itís so obviously real and unfiltered, and as it warms it takes on a certain complexity between the sweet fresh fruits, a light honey glaze, and the sharpness and oiliness of fresh hops...no real alcohol presence; perhaps just a touch too thick but itís very hard to think of anything else that I donít like about this. Not one I had any real expectations for but itís a killer. Now as Iím finishing the glass - and supremely sorry that I just got this in a mix-a-six instead of a whole six-pack - Iím going to have to bump it up a couple of notches, because this is the best IPA Iíve ever had,
