COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pale ale is generously hopped yet balanced through the use of Munich and Crystal malts. Hops added after fermentation gives this American classic an intense aromatic bouquet. Enjoy!

12 oz. bottle poured vigarously into Duvel tulip a adrk amber color giving offwhite 2 finger head a sticky lacing. Aromas of pine first then light grapefruit & citrus notes, bubble gum. Has the citrusy hop taste upfront followed by a light tatsing malty middle with a quiet piney finish. Like others,I had originaly thought this one was an IPA, but find out it is a APA and tastes and I rated as such.. Oddly, some bottles from the same 6pk tasted slightly different then others. Would buy again for sure.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2012 Bright citrus aroma. Amber color with a full initial head that fades a bit immature. Medium bitterness in a tasty beer. Would buy again.

Fresh Crisp aroma. Strong head but not for long. Good medium hoppy taste with notes of pine. Good palate.

Bottle. Amber in color with a slight white head. Light citrus aromas, but not much else. The Cascade hops are nicely balanced with some sweet caramel malt. A very sessionable beer. Just remember APA not IPA. I have seen low ratings on this for various reasons; diacetyl, metallic, sour, etc. I tasted none of the sort.

Tap at Mars Cheese Castle. Light golden pour with a one finger white head. Citrussy hop aroma and flavor. Hop forward, could be an IPA. Good mouthfeel and a nice accompaniment to the grilled chicken sandwich. Very tasty would definitely get another in the rupture.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber orange with a large white had that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine resin, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet with a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Quite nice, actually.

Aroma: Light and floral. Appearance: Brown with a dissipating head. Taste: Very nice flavours. Citrus upfront, a touch of caramel malt from the Crystal and Munich and backed up by a floral hop flavour and bitterness. Palate: Typical of pale ale, good session beer. Overall: Good as most pale ales, the hop flavour is fairly unique and the floral flavours come through strongly with citrus notes. I like this beer.... but I’m a big fan of APA’s.

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of biscuit, pine, grapefruit and light tangerine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, pine, light grapefruit and a hint of tangerine with a smooth dry lightly bitter finish.

12oz bottle poured into a Surly pint glass. I picked this one up on my recent trip to the Motherland. Pours a dark rusty amber with barely a sheet of lace on top. The nose is a little musty with notes of wood, green veggies, and malt. This fades out to a sweet syrup like aroma that is quite pleasant though. There’s a good amount of bubbles bolstering this beer. Good creamy smooth finish, but a tad drying. The hops in this beer aren’t all that juicy and flavorful, though they do impart a good amount of bitterness. Biscuity malt with a lack of residual sweetness. This is a dry, bitter beer, that is decent, but not all that refreshing. I probably wouldn’t reach for this one again, as there are scores of better options of this style out there.

On tap at the Wisconsin State Fair. Pours an unclear orange brown with a decent head. Aroma has bitter grapefruit, sweet caramel and some earthiness. Taste is of citrusy caramel. Bittersweet. Somewhat syrupy that got a bit cloying. Finishes bittersweet, and progressively more bitter. I was a bit disappointed when I thought it was an IPA, but as a pale, it provided a solid body with some hoppiness.
